The stars of Peaky Blinders are worth a lot of money!

The BBC and Netflix series premiered in 2013 and aired its final season in 2022. If you didn’t know, a movie that will wrap up the story of Tommy Shelby and his family is in the works with much of the main cast set to reprise their roles.

The Peaky Blinders movie is happening, and a big star is returning!

Creator Steven Knight confirmed the big news while attending the premiere of his BBC drama The Town, via Birmingham World.

The series originally premiered on BBC Two, with its final two seasons moving to BBC One. It then exploded in popularity after heading to Netflix. The series finale aired in April 2022, but the creator had already revealed a movie was on the way.

“The film, I know exactly what it’s about. And I know what two stories it’s going to tell. What will happen after that, I want that to depend on the film. For all we know somebody is going to pop out – I think I know who it’s going to be,” he told Esquire UK.

During its run from 2011 to 2019, Game of Thrones reigned supreme in the television world.

Based on George R.R. Martin‘s A Song of Ice and Fire novels, the Emmy-winning HBO series has already produced one spinoff: House of the Dragon, which premiered its first season in 2022.

Hype is building again, as House of the Dragon season 2 is set to air in Summer 2024. Watch the teaser trailer here!

Steven Knight is giving fans an update about the forthcoming Peaky Blinders movie.

It was previously reported that a film based on the hit Netflix show was in the works with Cillian Murphy set to reprise his role as gang leader Thomas Shelby, but the showrunner provided some additional information in a new interview with Heart Breakfast‘s Jamie Theakston and Zoe Hardman on Thursday (July 28).

Peaky Blinders‘ season six premiere date on Netflix has been revealed!

In season six, Cillian Murphy returns as Tommy Shelby. Tom Hardy, Paul Anderson, Finn Cole, Anya Taylor-Joy and Sophie Rundle are all set to return as well. Co-star Helen McCrory, who played Aunt Polly, sadly died last year.

Peaky Blinders is coming to an end.

The gangster drama series will be ending with its sixth season, and the BBC just dropped the first trailer for Season 6 on New Year’s (January 1).

Peaky Blinders will be ending after its sixth and final season. The drama airs on the BBC but also is streaming on Netflix.

Creator and writer Steven Knight has issued some good news, though, for fans who will miss the show. The show will “continue in another form,” but it’s unclear what form that will be.

Steven said to Variety, “’Peaky’ is back and with a bang. After the enforced production delay due to the Covid pandemic, we find the family in extreme jeopardy and the stakes have never been higher. We believe this will be the best series of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it. While the TV series will be coming to an end, the story will continue in another form.”
