Melissa famously paid for two glamorous shots that she ran as trade ads during her campaign for a 2011 Oscar, which she ultimately won for her work in The Fighter.

Jimmy is currently campaigning for his ABC talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, while Pee-wee is campaigning for his HBO special The Pee-wee Herman Show on Broadway.

Pee-wee Herman will be back on the big screen again in a Judd Apatow produced new film.

According to Variety, Paul Reubens, who plays Pee-wee, is writing the new script with Inglourious Basterds writer Paul Rust.

The new film will be produced under Judd‘s production company Apatow Prods. Previously, Judd helped produce comedy films such as Knocked Up, Superbad, and Get Him To the Greek.

The pair reportedly teamed up after Judd saw Paul‘s live The Pee-wee Herman Show earlier in the year.

“Let’s face it, the world needs more Pee-wee Herman,” Judd told Variety. “I am so excited to be working with Paul Reubens — who is an extraordinary and ground-breaking actor and writer. It’s so great to watch him return with such relevance.”

The Pee-wee Herman Show will arrive on Broadway this fall!

Paul Reubens will reprise his role as Pee-wee at NYC’s Stephen Sondheim Theater after a successful run in Los Angeles earlier this year.

“I wanted to come to New York in the fall, including the holidays, because Pee-wee attracts people of all ages,” producer Scott Sanders said (via Variety).

The show will center on Pee-wee’s hopes to fly like Pterri (a pterodactyl). Other Playhouse friends, including Cowboy Curtis, Chairry, Miss Yvonne and Jambi will come along for the fun.

Previews begin October 26, and the show is set to begin November 11!

This isn’t the first time Pee-wee has crossed paths with Tim Burton characters. For Pee-wee‘s Big Adventure, he paired off with Burton, who was an unknown director at the time.

And in Burton‘s Batman Returns, Reubens played The Penguin’s father. He also voiced the character Lock (who along with Shock and Barrel formed Oogie Boogie’s henchmen) in The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Looking to reunite with his old friend, Reubens has discussed having Burton direct a future Pee-wee film: “I have talked to Tim about one of them about a year ago. But Tim is booked. I think he would be interested in it, but he’s really busy.”

When asked by Reubens about possibly portraying Pee-wee on-screen, Johnny Depp answered, “Let me think about it.”
