The season three trailer for Penny Dreadful just debuted online and it looks creepier than ever!

Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, Reeve Carney and Eva Green return for the new season, which is all set to debut on May 1, 2016 on Showtime.

If you don’t watch, now is the time to start! The series has recreated famous literature characters into completely new, terrifying, erotic beings.

Eva Green looks a bit worse for wear in the season three teaser trailer for her Showtime series Penny Dreadful.

It was just announced that the new season of the hit series will premiere on Sunday, May 1 at 10/9c.

Josh Hartnett and Reeve Carney will both be returning in their roles and there will be several exciting guest stars, including Patti LuPone, who will play a different role than her previous one on the series.

Eva was nominated for a Golden Globe for her work on the series, but she lost to Empire‘s Taraji P. Henson.

It has just been announced that Josh Hartnett‘s hit Showtime show Penny Dreadful has been renewed for a third season!

The 36-year-old actor will start shooting the third season during the fall in Dublin, Ireland.

“John Logan‘s brilliant writing and this amazingly talented ensemble continue to draw a passionate, global fan base into the meticulously crafted world of Penny Dreadful,” Showtime Networks president David Nevins shared in a statement. “Together with our wonderful partners at Sky Atlantic, we’re excited to see what new haunts John and his team have in store for season three.”

Reeve Carney sports a serious mustache while posing at a season two screening of his hit show Penny Dreadful held at Tribeca Cinemas on Thursday night (April 30) in New York City.

The 32-year-old actor/musician was joined by his brother Zane.

During the Q&A portion, Reeve confirmed that his character Dorian Gray will be getting a new love interest this season!

Josh Hartnett and Reeve Carney buddy up on the red carpet at the Penny Dreadful screening held during 2014 Comic-Con on Thursday evening (July 24) at the Hilton Bayfront in San Diego, Calif.

The guys were joined at the event by their co-star Harry Treadaway. All three of the guys stopped by the Nintendo Lounge on the TV Guide Magazine Yacht that afternoon to try out some video games together!

During the show’s panel that day, creator John Logan chatted about the upcoming second season.

“Next season is very different. Having spent 10 years building this world in my mind, I talk about the first three seasons of what the story is,” John said. “What excites me about season two is … it gets much larger.”
