Jenna Coleman joins Peter Capaldi at the Doctor Who panel during 2015 Comic-Con held at the San Diego Convention Center on Thursday afternoon (July 9) in San Diego, Calif.

The 29-year-old actress and Peter joined Michelle Gomez, who plays Missy, at the event where they debuted the new trailer for the upcoming season, which premieres on September 19th.

Peter Capaldi hits the red carpet for the 2014 GQ Men Of The Year Awards in association with Hugo Boss, held at The Royal Opera House on Tuesday night (September 2) in London, England.

The 56-year-old actor was joined by his Doctor Who companion Jenna Coleman, who presented him with the TV Personality of the Year award.

“The truth is, I do not want to tell you the truth. I quite like these rumours,” Jenna recently dished about the rumors of her leaving Doctor Who. “People don’t have any idea [if I'm staying or going]. I think people can watch the show, not knowing whether I am [going] or not and I think that is exciting.”

Peter added, “I’m not looking for a new assistant. I don’t know where these rumours have started. I’ve read she may be leaving at Christmas but I don’t even know if she will get to Christmas. You’ll have to watch and see what happens.”

Peter Capaldi and co-star Jenna Coleman wave to the fans like royalty at the last Doctor Who premiere held at the Odeon Leicester Square in London, England on Saturday afternoon (August 23).

The 56- and 28-year-old actors were joined by new co-star Samuel Anderson, and show runner Steven Moffatt for the event.

“It does add to the pressure because you’re hugely aware of how well the role has been played by previous incumbents, but at the same time you have a sort of relationship with it that that doesn’t have to be acted,” Peter shared about being a Doctor Who fan before becoming the actual Doctor.

He added, “It’s a knowledge and a closeness to it that takes you a long way down the road. You almost instinctively know what it is. You can recognize what it is and what it should be, because it’s in your DNA.”

The two stars of the hit BBC show just returned from an around-the-world trip promoting the newest series, which premieres on Saturday, August 23rd.

Earlier in the morning, both Jenna and Peter stopped by ITV Studios and BBC Radio for separate interviews about the show.

“It’s been a joy. He’s so funny and so generous. That’s one of the things from day one on the shoot. He was looking after me on his first day, which I just think is testament to the type of man he is. He is the epitome of grace,” Jenna recently shared about working with Peter.

She added, “He is that kind of man that takes care of all of those around him. Despite all of that, he’s just so skilled and so brave and bold in the choices that he makes, and really clever and dynamic. What I love about him is that he’s so prepped and immersed in the job, but then at a moment’s notice he’s not afraid to abandon any plan and try something else. He’s a really fearless actor that’s very generous to those around him. We just have such a laugh as well. We’ve laughed the whole way through the series together.”

Peter Capaldi‘s Doctor Who will premiere on BBC America THIS WEEKEND!

The 56-year-old Scottish actor recently spoke about the rewarding experience of taking on the iconic character.

“It’s working with all of these gifted people, because the crew, the designers and the cast are all so good at what they do. To be working with people who are so great at their jobs is a wonderful thing, and it’s a highly imaginative place to be in the studio when this is all going on,” Peter shared.

He added, “It’s fabulous from the point of view that you’re doing things you would never have done in other television shows. There isn’t another television show like it, where the central character can be blown up, or materialized underneath the sea or be in outer space. So to turn up every time you start a new episode and be submerged in a totally new world is certainly one of the best things about it. To be able to have the privilege of looking after this character for a while is the best thing about it for me. It’s that you’ve been given this very precious thing, and it’s your responsibility to try and keep him aflame until the next person comes along. You’re looking after the character and it looks after you too.”

Doctor Who premieres Saturday, August 23rd on BBC America.

The 56- and 28-year-old actors are almost wrapped up with the Doctor Who world tour.

Speaking with The Independent recently, Jenna, 28, chatted about the advice she received from former companion Karen Gillan.

“My first day we were in the make-up chairs together as I was in one of Karen‘s episodes. She was really supportive and sent me messages saying, ‘Just enjoy it,’ and gave me tips on Cardiff,” Jenna shared. “I wish I had asked her advice as there are so many questions you want to ask. But it’s the same as has happened with me and Peter – it kind of feels like a new show in a way.”

Jenna Coleman and Peter Capaldi take in the New York City views from the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center on Friday evening (August 15).

The two Doctor Who stars brought the new season, plus a Cyberman, to the Big Apple ahead of the premiere this coming weekend on BBC America, before heading to a press conference in Mexico City the next day.

Rumor has it (via The Mirror) that Jenna could be leaving the popular program by Christmas!

The paper, from sources, say that talks have started to take place about her exit, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.

“They’re great friends and all that but she has to be his human interface with everybody else,” show runner Steven Moffatt recently shared about the duo’s relationship this season. “One of the watchwords we have this year is there are consequences for choosing to live like this. It’s not a fairy-tale – we want to make it feel that these adventures can hurt.”
