Peter Dinklage suits up for the premiere of his newest movie, Cyrano, held at the SVA Theater on Wednesday (February 23) in New York City.

The 52-year-old actor hit the red carpet with his wife, Erica Schmidt, and joined his co-stars Haley Bennett and Kelvin Harrison, Jr., along with director Joe Wright.

Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu was also seen on the red carpet for the special screening.

The movie version is based on classic novel of the same name, and also the musical stage version, which had been written Erica.

In a new interview with Newsweek, Peter joked about how the role wasn’t written for him.

“She definitely didn’t write this for me,” he laughed. “When she created this thing, I just happened to be in the room and unemployed at the time, truly.”

Peter added that it was daunting playing the character.

“I always think she’s writing like, the perfect version of me but the version of me that she wishes I was,” he says. “No, but that’s very egotistical of me to say and think that way, and unhealthy.”

Cyrano opens in theaters on Friday, February 25.

Disney is responding to Peter Dinklage after he publicly called out the upcoming live action Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from Disney.

He said during his appearance on Marc Maron’s “WTF” podcast, “Literally no offense to anyone, but I was a little taken aback when they were very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White. But you’re still telling the story of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.’ Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It makes no sense to me.”

“You’re progressive in one way but then you’re still making that f***ing backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together, what the f*** are you doing, man? Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soap box? I guess I’m not loud enough.”

Peter Dinklage is not a fan of the upcoming live action Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from Disney.

The 52-year-old Cyrano actor called out the new movie, as new castings are being announced.

Rachel Zegler, Gal Gadot, and most recently, Andrew Burnap, will star in the movie.

“There’s a lot of hypocrisy going on,” Peter shared about his thoughts on the movie.

The 52-year-old Game of Thrones actor was born with achondroplasia, a form of short-limbed dwarfism that necessitated he undergo a corrective leg-surgery at the age of five.

In an interview with The Times, Peter explained that he was often met with “stares” because of his height.

Haley Bennett stuns on the red carpet in a structural dress for the premiere of Cyrano held at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Tuesday (December 7) in London, England.

The 33-year-old actress joined her co-stars Peter Dinklage and Kelvin Harrison, Jr., and their director Joe Wright at the premiere event.

Peter‘s wife, Erica Schmidt, was also at the event in support.

If you’re unfamiliar, Cyrano centers on the title character, who, while he dazzles everyone with his ferocious wordplay and brilliant swordplay.

However, he’s convinced his appearance renders him unworthy of the affections of the luminous Roxanne, a devoted friend who’s in love with someone else.

Cyrano, also starring Ben Mendelsohn and Bashir Salahuddin, will open in theaters on December 31.
