Phil Collins has been hospitalized for a “severe gash on his head” in London, England.

A statement was made on the 66-year-old singer’s Facebook page explaining what happened.

“He rose in the middle of the night to go to the toilet and slipped in his hotel room, hitting his head in the fall on a chair. He was taken to hospital where he had stitches for a severe gash on his head close to his eye and is recovering well,” the statement read.

Phil was forced to cancel two performances at the Royal Albert Hall in London this week due to his injury.

Lily Collins‘ famous parents definitely play a role in her dating life!

The 28-year-old actress revealed that the relationship between her dad Phil Collins and her mom Jill Tavelman has influenced who she chooses to date.

“I find that I’m really attracted to mysterious creatives, and I love people that are able to put their emotions out there for not just the world to see, but just that are giving of their emotions, but a little bit mysterious and elusive as well,” she explained while on The Talk.

Lily Collins is opening up about her relationship with her dad, singer Phil Collins, and how she forgives him for the mistakes he has made over the years.

The 27-year-old actress wrote an open letter to her father and it is featured in her new book of essays, “Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me.”

“Because my dad was often gone, I never wanted to do anything that would make him stay away even longer,” Lily wrote in the book, out in stores now. “I became extra careful about what I said and how I said it, afraid he’d think I was angry or didn’t love him. And the truth is, I was angry. I missed him and wanted him there.”

Lily says that after her dad and mom Jill got divorced when she was five, her dad moved to Switzerland, “where he stayed for more than twenty years.”

“I’ve realized that many of my deepest insecurities stem from these issues with my dad,” she said. “It’s taken me over a decade to resolve some of them (others I’m still resolving) and to finally build up the courage to speak my mind to him.”

The 27-year-old Golden Globe nominee attended her first show in 2000, with her father, singer and composer Phil Collins.

Clearly, Lily was a budding fashionista from the beginning.

At the 2000 ceremony, Phil took home the trophy for Best Original Song for “You’ll Be in My Heart” from the animated movie Tarzan.

Lily was among the people her dad thanked while accepting the award. He said to his daughters, Lily and Joely, “whether they know it or not, they wrote this song for me. You’ll be in my heart. I love you so much.”

Nick Jonas heads out of Craig’s Restaurant after grabbing dinner with some family and friends on Wednesday night (February 3) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 23-year-old singer/actor was joined by his older brother Joe.

Nick was recently rumored to be dating Lily Collins, but her father Phil Collins says they’re just friends.

“[I'm] not sure what Nick looks like,” Phil said to Yahoo. “But Lily called me the other day and she was in Mammoth where all this was happening. I’m here with a friend she told me and said it’s not serious. It’s just friends.”

Phil added, “Yeah, I mean, this is what I mean she is now in the public eye and has to put up with all that kind of stuff and she can’t keep that stuff private anymore. When I started in this industry there was no Internet. Now things rattle all over the world. She is getting used to it.”

Armie Hammer looks dapper as he poses with Lily Collins at the after-party for the premiere of their film Mirror, Mirror held at the Roosevelt Hotel on Saturday (March 17) in Hollywood.

The 25-year-old actor didn’t make it to the actual premiere because he missed his flight due to a late night of filming.

Lily, who turns 23 TOMORROW (March 18) was presented with a giant apple shaped birthday cake. The stem of the apple was actually the birthday candle! Lily‘s parents Phil Collins and Jill Tavelman helped her celebrate the happy occasion.

The after-party was, of course, princess themed. There was plenty to do for all the kids and parents including a wand and sword decorating station, coloring corner, and carnival games (slingshot gallery, poison apple loss, cake fling). On display were towers of cupcakes and candy apples, some of Julia Roberts and Lily‘s costumes on mannequins, and a throne for kids to pose on (guards included!).

Also in attendance at the party: Armie‘s wife Elizabeth Chambers, Victoria Beckham and her kids, Celebrity Apprentice contestant Tia Carrere with her children, Molly Ringwald with her family, producers Brett Ratner and John Cheng, and celeb stylists Jeanne Yang and Jessica Paster.

FYI: Lily is wearing Dolce&Gabbana.
