Philip Seymour Hoffman appears in this brand new character poster as Plutarch for one of his final films, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1!

Also getting their own posters are Sam Claflin as Finnick, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch, Elizabeth Banks as Effie, Jeffrey Wright as Beetee, and Julianne Moore as President Coin.

Here’s the synopsis for the film: Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) reluctantly becomes the symbol of a mass rebellion against the autocratic Capitol.

The first teaser trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is finally here and we are more excited than ever for the movie to hit theaters!

The teaser features a brief glimpse at Jennifer Lawrence‘s Katniss Everdeen, as well as Liam Hemsworth as Gale, Natalie Dormer as Cressida, Julianne Moore as President Coin, and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch.

While we did see some of our favorite characters, there was sadly no sign of Josh Hutcherson as Peeta – who if you can remember, had been kidnapped by The Capitol at the end of Catching Fire.

Check out the first teaser for the film below, which is set to hit theaters on November 21 of this year.

Julianne Moore arrives looking so gorgeous at the premiere of Mr Turner during the 2014 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday (May 15) in Cannes, France.

That same day, the 53-year-old actress’ first images as President Coin from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2 were released! Check them out below!

One of them features the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, who is also featured in the film.

The next Hunger Games film is set to be released on November 21, and part two will be released the following November.

Josh Hutcherson and Sam Claflin celebrate on stage as they accept the Movie of the Year award for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards held at the Nokia Theatre on Sunday (April 13) in Los Angeles.

While accepting the award, Josh, 21, delivered a special tribute to their late co-star Philip Seymour Hoffman.

“I also want to say real quickly, I know that if Philip were here, he would think this is really cool,” Josh said. “And to have him in our movies was one of the coolest things in the world. He’s one of the actors I’ve looked up to my entire life and we think about him every day on set. So wherever he is, this definitely goes out to him as well.”

The trailer for A Most Wanted Man, one of Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s final films, has just been released.

The spy thriller, based on the novel by John le Carre, also stars Rachel McAdams, a brunette Robin Wright and Willem Dafoe.

The film is about a Chechen Muslim who illegally immigrates to Hamburg, where he gets caught in the international war on terror.

Lionsgate has set a release date of July 25 – be sure to check out the film when it becomes available in theaters.

Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s official cause of death was just released by the medical examiner, and was found to be a deadly overdose of heroin, cocaine, and prescription drugs, TMZ reports.

The medical examiner released his cause of death earlier this month as acute mixed drug intoxication, before releasing a more thorough report today.

Philip tragically passed away earlier this month at the age of 46 after he was found in his apartment, reportedly with a needle in his arm. Drugs were suspected immediately, as there were also bags of heroin found about the apartment.

The 44-year-old Blue Jasmine actress won a prestigious BAFTA over the weekend for her work in the film.
