Paul Thomas Anderson, the 5-time Academy Award-nominated writer/director of There Will Be Blood, wrote and directed the film!

The Master is set to be released in theaters on September 21.

Synopsis: The film is a 1950s-set drama that follows Freddie (Phoenix) as he struggles to live post-war. Lost and alone, he discovers a charismatic intellectual known as “the Master” (Philip Seymour Hoffman), who has begun his own faith-based organization and is willing to take Freddie under his wing as his right-hand man.

Paul Thomas Anderson, the 5-time Academy Award-nominated writer/director of There Will Be Blood, wrote and directed the film also starring Laura Dern, Rami Malek, and Jesse Plemons.

FYI: Amy was just cast in an untitled film from her Fighter director David O. Russell. She’ll star as the mistress of a con artist played by Bradley Cooper who works with an FBI agent (Jeremy Renner) on a far-reaching corruption case, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has found its Plutarch Heavensbee, JustJared.com can confirm!

Philip Seymour Hoffman has signed on to play the pivotal role in the highly anticipated follow up to The Hunger Games, according to E! News.

“The deal was made right before the Fourth of July holiday,” a source said.

Philip was most recently seen on Broadway opposite Andrew Garfield in Death of a Salesman and won an Oscar in 2006 for his role in Capote.
