Rebel Wilson Praises Phillipa Soo & Adam Chanler-Berat in 'Amélie the Musical'!

Rebel Wilson has nothing but praise for the soon-to-be Broadway musical Amélie!

The 36-year-old actress checked out a preview for the stage musical – based on the indie film of the same name – earlier this week.

“Had the best night tonight seeing the preview of AMELIE, a new musical!” Rebel wrote on Instagram along with a photo of her standing next to cast members Phillipa Soo (of Broadway’s Hamilton) and Adam Chanler-Berat (of Broadway’s Next to Normal). “Phillipa, Adam and the whole cast were amazing, such a beautiful piece x.”

Amélie will start previews at the Walter Kerr Theatre on March 9, and the official opening night is April 3.

Before its Broadway run, Amélie is currently playing for one month in Los Angeles at the Ahmanson Theatre until January 15. Go check it out now!

Broadway's 'Amélie the Musical' Sets Date for Opening Night!

The indie film Amélie is set to become a Broadway musical next year and dates have been set for opening night!

Phillipa Soo, who was Tony-nominated for her work in the smash hit Hamilton, is taking over the role originated by French actress Audrey Tautou in the 2001 movie.

Adam Chanler-Berat, best known for his work on Broadway in Next to Normal, is set to play the leading man.

Amélie will start previews at the Walter Kerr Theatre on March 9 and the official opening night is April 3.

Before its Broadway run, Amélie will play for one month in Los Angeles at the Ahmanson Theatre from December 4 through January 15. Go check it out!

Lin-Manuel Miranda Cuts Hair Off After Final 'Hamilton' Show

Lin-Manuel Miranda shows off his new hairdo while attending the after party following his final performance in Broadway’s Hamilton on Saturday night (July 9) at the R Lounge at the Renaissance Hotel in New York City.

The 36-year-old actor and writer performed the role for the last time (for now) alongside original cast members Phillipa Soo and Leslie Odom Jr. Before the show began, the three stars took to social media to say a farewell to the smash hit musical.

After the show, Lin chopped off his long hair, which he has been sporting for well over a year now.

During the show’s curtain call, the music for The West Wing, which Lin says inspired the musical, was played. Watch below!

Lin-Manuel Miranda & Original 'Hamilton' Cast Say Goodbye Before Final Show

Hamilton‘s final show with its original cast is set to take place on Saturday night (July 9) and the performers have been taking to social media to say their goodbyes.

Creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda as well as Leslie Odom Jr. and Phillipa Soo will all be leaving the show after tonight’s performance and are commemorating it with some special messages.

Lin-Manuel shared a throwback Facebook status from five years ago as he was writing the show and quickly wrote “Okay. Let’s go. Love you,” before the final show began.

Phillipa also sent out a message saying, “Thanks to all for the love and support the past 2 yrs. I will cherish #Hamilton and everyone the RR Theatre. ❤️ Til next time, folks!” and Leslie added, “The kindness and the love I’ve found here will stay with me all the days of life. One more. Let’s get it.”

Hamilton's Phillipa Soo Gets Support from Schuyler Sisters at Elly Awards

Phillipa Soo is sandwiched in between her Hamilton co-stars Jasmine Cephas Jones and Renee Elise Goldsberry while attending the 2016 Elly Awards on Monday (June 20) at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

The ladies play the Schuyler sisters in Broadway’s smash hit musical, which is sold out through next summer.

Phillipa, who was joined at the event by her fiance Steven Pasquale, was honored at the event for being an outstanding woman leader.

After leaving Hamilton on July 9, Phillipa will start work on the upcoming musical version of the movie Amelie. It arrives on Broadway next year, but will have a production in Los Angeles in December.

Hamilton's Phillipa Soo Will Star in Broadway's 'Amelie' Musical

Phillipa Soo, one of the breakout stars of the smash hit Broadway musical Hamilton, has a new project coming to the Great White Way in 2017.

The 26-year-old Tony-nominated actress will play the title role in Amelie, A New Musical, based on the French romantic comedy that was nominated for five Academy Awards in 2001, according to the NY Daily News.

Phillipa currently plays the lead female role of Eliza Schuyler in Hamilton and she will play her final performance on July 9, the same night as creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Amelie will play a run in Los Angeles this winter before going to Broadway.

Phillipa‘s fiance, actor Steven Pasquale, tweeted about his excitement for the show.
