Polly Bergen has died at the age of 84.
The Emmy-winning actress passed away at her home with family and close friends by her side in Southbury, Conn., according to her publicist Judy Katz.
In the late 1990s, Polly battled emphysema and other ailments, as a result of smoking for over 50 years.
In recent years, Polly was known for her roles on Desperate Housewives and The Sopranos.
Polly was recognized with an Emmy for her role as Helen Morgan in Playhouse 90 in 1958.
