The 54-year-old talk show host recently celebrated her birthday. Happy belated b-day!!!

Ellen, a one-time former jcpenney associate, is partnering with the retailer as part of its new brand unveiling.

“One of my first jobs was at a jcpenney in Metairie, La. You know what – I don’t think I ever clocked out on my last day. I should look into that,” she said in a statement.

“Anyway, I’m so excited to be back working with the company. They have an incredible vision for the future and are completely re-inventing themselves to become America’s favorite store. And most importantly, I’m gonna get my employee discount again. Hello new pillows!” she joked.

Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, hit the beach together on Sunday (January 8) in Malibu, Calif.

The 53-year-old talk show host and her sweetheart recently purchased Brad Pitt‘s beachfront property and enjoyed the view from their balcony with a few friends when they returned from their walk.

Brad‘s former bachelor pad was purchased for $12 million, People reports; the home overlooks the ocean and has private beach access as well as a pool and a tennis court.

Portia de Rossi comes out to support wife Ellen DeGeneres at the 2012 People’s Choice Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Wednesday (January 11) in Los Angeles.

The 53-year-old talk show host took home the Favorite Daytime TV host award, beating out the Today anchors, Anderson Cooper, Kelly Ripa, and Rachael Ray.

Portia de Rossi and Chris Colfer smile wide at the 2011 New Yorker Festival party held at Andaz 5th Avenue on Saturday (October 1) in New York City.

Earlier in the day, the 21-year-old Glee actor (in a Simon Spurr shirt) spoke with New Yorker editor Susan Morrison at “In Conversation with Chris Colfer.”

“I’m so excited to be part of the New Yorker Festival!!! I’ve been looking forward to tonight for months! :)” Chris wrote on his Twitter account.

At the event, Chris spoke about his experience on Glee and what’s next for him…and answered fans’ questions, including what cologne he wears.

“I’m gonna get in trouble ’cause it might be for girls!” Chris laughed. “Marc Jacobs Rain.”
