“I grew up listening to reggae records, so when I heard a demo of ‘Prisoner’ written by Emily Warren and Scott Harris I felt the song was so relatable to me, I identified with the incredible melodies and lyrics. It’s got emotional levels that take me to both happy and melancholy places, whilst being authentically reggae, which I love” Era said.

The accompanying video finds Era in Jamaica.

“I started loving reggae music when I was 16, and that led me to go visit Jamaica and shoot the video there,” she explained.

“I had an incredible time whilst I was there and the vibe on the video was perfect! ‘Prisoner’ is the kind of song you love hearing because of the beautiful melancholic melodies and the happy reggae beat. At the same time the lyrics talk about me not wanting to take, or be no prisoner. I’m so happy and excited to have it out in the world.”

Rising Swedish Pop Star AMWIN Debuts 'Living Mistake' Video - Watch Now! (Exclusive)

Rising Swedish pop superstar AMWIN just premiered the music video for her new single “Living Mistake,” which you can watch exclusively on Just Jared!

After racking up nearly one million spins on her previous single “Uber,” the 21-year-old singer returned with her hot new track at the beginning of June.

“For a million reasons this video didn’t go as planned. Things rarely do when I’m involved. Maybe because new ideas pop into my head, before we’re even nearly finished with the first one. Maybe it’s because my ambitions change and evolve during the process, sometimes 500 times. Maybe it’s because I’ve lost my mind or just because I am a living mistake,” AMWIN told Just Jared of the video.

“I turned to Simon Jung, who I also made the video for ‘Uber’ (my previous release) with. We didn’t have a lot of time. Or money. As always. But we had a lot of visions for the video and we haven’t been willing to let any of them go, except for the huge horse I wanted in the video that didn’t fit through the entrance to the studio. After numerous of collapses we decided to rather embrace them and work all our failures into the video instead.”

“So I got my motor cycle ride. I got to lead a choir, which I have always dreamt of. I got to be a prima ballerina, even though I never learned quite how to be, or how to dance. I got to break things. I got my fishes and beautiful cats. The result is a playful one-take video combining some of our weird ideas into one beautiful pot of mistakes.”

“The inspiration behind ‘Hot Streak’ is that magic moment of feeling untouchable like Nicky Barnes. Where for an hour the whole world falls into your hands and everything you touch turns to gold,” the band explained of their new track.

“‘Hot Streak’ defines our live show energy seamlessly following our collaborations with RZA and Royce Da 5’9″. This is the first song we started off as a production duo with an infinite abelian melody on top of a pulsating uptempo rhythm.”

The song is featured on Amazon’s Songs of Summer playlist and you can go download it now!

“‘Must Be Summertime’ is exactly what it sounds like- the perfect summer song that embodies all of the things I absolutely love about the season,” Kate said in a statement about the song. “To me, nothing says summer more than being in the sand and on the water. To capture that salty hair don’t care vibe, we shot a lot of scenes at the beach here in Cali and created an EPIC pool scene at a Hollywood Hills home. Between the unicorn floaties, piñatas, matching pineapple leggings and margaritas galore, I’d say it was a successful weekend. Our leggings are from my upcoming line ‘We The Dreamers,’ so I’m excited to give my fans a sneak peek of what’s to come!”
