General David Petraeus has been named Barbara Walters‘ Most Fascinating Person of 2012!

The 60-year-old general retired from his position as director of the CIA after his extramarital affair was discovered during an FBI investigation. This is his second time being the most fascinating person of the year!

Other people to land on Barbara‘s list include: Ben Affleck, Prince Harry, Gabby Douglas, One Direction, Seth MacFarlane, Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James, Honey Boo Boo, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Prince Harry is shown around the army base by a member of his squadron at Camp Bastion on Friday (September 7) in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

The 27-year-old royal and Apache helicopter pilot for the squad has been redeployed to the Taliban-controlled region for four months, according to the BBC. Harry previously spent ten weeks back in the province in 2007-2008.

“He will be in a difficult and demanding job. And I ask that he be left to get on with his duties and allowed to focus on delivering support to the coalition troops on the ground,” Royal Navy Captain Jock Gordon, Commander of the Joint Aviation Group said.

Prince Harry cheers on the athletes while attending the swimming heats on day 6 of the 2012 Paralympic Games held at the Aquatics Centre on Tuesday (September 4) in London, England.

The 27-year-old royal met many of the Paralympians, posed for photos, and even flexed his muscles for one lucky gal!

Prince Harry goes fully clothed for his first appearance since his Las Vegas nude pictures scandal while attending the WellChild Awards on Monday (September 3) at the Intercontinental Hotel in London, England.

The 27-year-old royal has laid low ever since the photos surfaced a week and a half ago, but he is determined not to let them stop him from his everyday life.
