Prince Philip Poses for New Portrait at Age 96!

Prince Philip is featured in a brand new image from the year of his retirement, just released by Buckingham Palace!

In the photograph, the 96-year-old is seen in The Grand Corridor at Windsor Castle with him depicted wearing the sash of the Order of the Elephant, Denmark’s highest-ranking honor in 2017 in England.

The portrait was created to celebrate Prince Philip‘s heritage and will be placed in the Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle in Denmark.

Prince Philip announced his retirement from public appearances earlier in the year.

Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, & Prince William Step Out for Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip's 70th Anniversary Dinner

Kate Middleton was joined by her husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry for Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip‘s 70th wedding anniversary dinner!

The royal trio dressed in their black-tie best for the glamorous event held at Windsor Castle on Monday (November 20) in Windsor, England.

Kate – who is currently pregnant with her and William‘s third child – wore pearl earrings, a pearl necklace, and a black lace dress, while the princes looked dapper in their tuxedos.

The Queen and prince’s four children – Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Prince Andrew – were also reportedly in attendance. It was unknown whether or not Harry’s girlfriend, Meghan Markle, was also in attendance.

In honor of the milestone occasion, Queen Elizabeth named Prince Philip a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip Celebrate 70th Anniversary with New Portraits!

Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary with the release of brand new portraits!

The photographs were taken in the White Drawing Room of Windsor Castle in early November to to mark the milestone of their diamond wedding anniversary, which is today (November 20).

The Queen is wearing a cream day dress designed by Angela Kelly, as well as the ‘Scarab’ brooch, carved ruby and diamond, given to her by Philip in 1966 and designed by Andrew Grima.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh got married in 1947 and you can watch a reenactment of the ceremony in the Netflix series The Crown. They are the first royal couple to make it to their 70th wedding anniversary!

The portrait, taken in November, marks the couple’s diamond wedding anniversary, which is on Monday (November 20).

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh got married in 1947 and you can watch a reenactment of the ceremony in the Netflix series The Crown. They are the first royal couple to make it to their 70th wedding anniversary!

The Queen is seen wearing her “Scarab” brooch, which was designed by Andrew Grima and gifted to her in 1966.

Prince Philip Hospitalized for an Infection

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, has been admitted to the hospital for an infection.

The 96-year-old royal was supposed to be in attendance at the State Opening of Parliament today with wife Queen Elizabeth, but he will be skipping the event to get better.

“The Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in London last night, as a precautionary measure, for treatment of an infection arising from a pre-existing condition,” a statement from Buckingham Palace read (via The Telegraph).

“Prince Philip is in good spirits and is disappointed to be missing the State Opening of Parliament and Royal Ascot. The Prince of Wales will accompany The Queen to the State Opening. Her Majesty is being kept informed and will attend Royal Ascot as planned this afternoon.”

We wish Prince Philip well and hope for a speedy recovery!

Prince George & Princess Charlotte Are So Cute at Queen Elizabeth's Birthday Parade!

Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William stand on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with their kids Prince George, 3, and Princess Charlotte, 2, during the Trooping the Colour parade on Saturday (June 17) in London, England.

The entire royal family gathered for the event, which is held to celebrate the Queen‘s birthday, despite her actual birthday being in April.

Other members of the family in attendance included Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, and Prince Harry.

Last year, a video of the Queen scolding William for kneeling down to talk to his son went viral.

Queen Elizabeth's Husband Prince Philip Announces Retirement From Public Engagements

Prince Philip has announced that he is retiring from public engagements beginning in the fall.

The 95-year-old royal is married to Queen Elizabeth, 91, who is giving her husband her full support in his decision.

“Prince Philip will attend previously scheduled engagements between now and August, both individually and accompanying The Queen. Thereafter, The Duke will not be accepting new invitations for visits and engagements, although he may still choose to attend certain public events from time to time,” the statement from the Palace read.
