Mark Zuckerberg is officially on diaper duty after the birth of his daughter Max earlier this month!

The 31-year-old Facebook founder and his wife Dr. Priscilla Chan welcomed Max on December 1st and he is currently on a two month paternity leave.

Mark took to his official Facebook page to share an adorable photo getting in some dad time with the newborn and changing her diaper.

“One more down, thousands to go,” Mark captioned the sweet image.

To announce the birth, the 31-year-old Facebook founder and his wife wrote a letter to their daughter making some huge promises to the world as a whole.

“Priscilla and I are so happy to welcome our daughter Max into this world! For her birth, we wrote a letter to her about the world we hope she grows up in,” Mark announced on his Facebook page.

“As you begin the next generation of the Chan Zuckerberg family, we also begin the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to join people across the world to advance human potential and promote equality for all children in the next generation. Our initial areas of focus will be personalized learning, curing disease, connecting people and building strong communities,” Mark and Priscilla wrote. “We will give 99% of our Facebook shares — currently about $45 billion — during our lives to advance this mission. We know this is a small contribution compared to all the resources and talents of those already working on these issues. But we want to do what we can, working alongside many others.”

Congrats to Mark and Priscilla on the birth of their daughter!

Mark Zuckerberg has announced that he will take a two month paternity leave from his job as CEO of Facebook when his baby girl is born.

The 31-year-old businessman and his wife Priscilla Chan are expecting their first child together.

“Priscilla and I are starting to get ready for our daughter’s arrival. We’ve been picking out our favorite childhood books and toys,” Mark wrote in a Facebook post. “We’ve also been thinking about how we’re going to take time off during the first months of her life. This is a very personal decision, and I’ve decided to take 2 months of paternity leave when our daughter arrives.”

“Studies show that when working parents take time to be with their newborns, outcomes are better for the children and families. At Facebook we offer our US employees up to 4 months of paid maternity or paternity leave which they can take throughout the year,” Mark added. “Every day things are getting a little more real for us, and we’re excited to start this next stage in our lives.”

Priscilla, who is pregnant with the couple’s first child, showed her baby bump in a red gown.

Other stars joining President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the dinner included ballet dancer Misty Copeland, director Lee Daniels, Shark Tank star Mark Cuban, and the evening’s performer, Ne-Yo.

Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan just announced that they are expecting their first child together – a baby girl!

“Priscilla and I have some exciting news: we’re expecting a baby girl!” the 31-year-old Facebook co-founder wrote in a post on his social networking site.

Mark included a photo of Priscilla showing off her baby bump with their dog Beast sitting in front of them.

“This will be a new chapter in our lives. We’ve already been so fortunate for the opportunity to touch people’s lives around the world — Cilla as a doctor and educator, and me through this community and philanthropy. Now we’ll focus on making the world a better place for our child and the next generation,” Mark continued. “We want to share one experience to start. We’ve been trying to have a child for a couple of years and have had three miscarriages along the way.”

Facebook’s founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan make a rare red carpet appearance together as a couple at the 2014 Breakthrough Prize Awards Ceremony held at NASA Ames Research Center on Sunday evening (November 9) in Mountain View, Calif.

The couple, who attended the event hosted by funnyman Seth MacFarlane, have not been spotted together since April of 2013, when they went surfing in Hawaii while on vacation.

Mark, 30, and Priscilla, 29, were married back in May of 2012 and announced the nuptials on Facebook, of course!

Mark and several other entrepreneurs and scientists helped found the awards, which gives $3 million to the winners, who have helped break ground in their respective fields.

Mark Zuckerberg took to his Facebook account early Tuesday morning (October 14) to inform the public that he and his wife Priscilla Chan are donating $25 million to the Ebola epidemic.

“Priscilla and I are donating $25 million to the Centers for Disease Control Foundation to help fight Ebola,” the 30-year-old Facebook founder wrote. “We need to get Ebola under control in the near term so that it doesn’t spread further and become a long term global health crisis that we end up fighting for decades at large scale, like HIV or polio.”

“We believe our grant is the quickest way to empower the CDC and the experts in this field to prevent this outcome,” Mark added.
