Little Girl Gets Smacked in Face After Meeting Queen Elizabeth

Queen Elizabeth II greets six-year-old Maisie Gregory and receives a posy of flowers while paying a visit to Millenium Stadium on Thursday (June 11) in Cardiff, Wales.

The little girl wore a traditional Welsh dress and presented the flowers to Her Majesty with a curtsy as she rehearsed. Unfortunately, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time just seconds later when one of the officers accidentally smacked her in the face!

The officer standing at attention in the doorway went to salute the Queen as she left the venue to get into her car. His hand smacked Maisie so hard that her bonnet flew right off her head. You can see the video below.

Queen Elizabeth Is Not Dead, Despite BBC's False Tweets

The world went into a panic on Wednesday (June 3) after a tweet sent out by a BBC journalist said that Queen Elizabeth had died (she is very much alive).

BBC broadcast journalist Ahmen Khawaja tweeted, “BREAKING: Queen Elizabeth is being treated at King Edward 7th Hospital in London. Statement due shortly: @BBC World.” A short time later, she added, “‘Queen Elizabeth has died’: @BBCWorld.”

The palace immediately shot down these rumors: “This was a routine pre-scheduled appointment. The queen has now left [the] hospital and carries on with her engagements.”

The BBC later offered an explanation as to what happened. “During a technical rehearsal for an obituary, tweets were mistakenly sent from the account of a BBC journalist,” the statement read. “The tweets were swiftly deleted and we apologize for any offense.”

Kate Middleton Has That Pregnancy Glow in Latest Appearance

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) and Prince William attend the Observance for Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey on Monday afternoon (March 9) in London, England.

The married couple, currently expecting their second child, was joined at the event by his dad Prince William (with wife Duchess Camilla) and his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

“We are guardians of a precious flame [the Commonwealth], and it is our duty not only to keep it burning brightly but to keep it replenished for the decades ahead,” the Queen said in a statement. “With this in mind, I think it apt that on this day we celebrate ‘A Young Commonwealth’ and all that it has to offer. As a concept that is unique in human history, the Commonwealth can only flourish if its ideas and ideals continue to be young and fresh and relevant to all generations.”

FYI: Kate is wearing an Alexander McQueen coat.

Joan Collins & Kristin Scott Thomas Have Been Named Dames!

Joan Collins and Kristin Scott Thomas are the latest actresses to receive the honor of being named dames by Queen Elizabeth II!

Joan will be receiving the honor for her services to charity while Kristin is receiving the award for her services to drama.

Actor John Hurt will receive knighthood for his services to drama.

“There’s nothing to compare to being a Dame and getting that kind of accolade from my country and my Queen. I am very patriotic and quite a Royalist so it is extraordinary”, Joan told BBC.

“This is an immense honor that I could not believe was really for me. In fact, I thought someone was playing a trick. But it’s true, apparently, and I am thrilled, astonished and worried that I might suddenly wake up!” Kristin said.

James Corden and Emily Watson will both be made an OBE for their services to drama.
