Adam Lambert stopped by Live With Kelly and Ryan on Monday morning (May 7) and made a major announcement!

The 36-year-old entertainer revealed that he and legendary classic rock group Queen are set to take over the Park MGM in Las Vegas for a limited 10-day engagement.

“It’s for three weeks and we’re so excited,” Adam told Kelly and Ryan. “This is something different. We’re calling it ‘The Crown Jewels’”

Shows will be held September 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 14, 15, 19, 21 and 22 at 8 p.m. One of their performance dates, Saturday, Sept. 8, lands on Queen Day in Las Vegas, which former Mayor Oscar Goodman declared in 2004.

Freddie Mercury‘s performance at Live Aid in 1985 with his band Queen is one of the most memorable of his career and Rami Malek just filmed the scene for a biopic on the late entertainer.

The 36-year-old Emmy-winning actor was seen wearing a white tank top, jeans, and a studded belt while recreating the moment over the weekend in Buckinghamshire, England.

Brian May, the original and current guitarist for Queen, was seen standing on the wings of the stage while watching Rami portray Freddie.

Rami sat the piano and played “Bohemian Rhapsody” for what is rumored to be the final scene of the movie.

Bohemian Rhapsody is set for release on December 25, 2018 and the first official still was revealed last week!

Rami Malek is the spitting image of late Queen frontman and music icon Freddie Mercury in the upcoming biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody.

The 36-year-old actor is pictured posing on stage in full rock star mode in a first look photo from the film provided by Entertainment Weekly today (September 5), on what would have been Freddie‘s 71st birthday.

The Bryan Singer-directed movie chronicles the time between Freddie‘s initial team-up with Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor in 1970 all the way up to their performance at Live Aid in 1985.

Bohemian Rhapsody is set to arrive in theaters on December 25, 2018.

Adam Lambert‘s got some stiff competition when it comes to being the frontman for Queen!

On last night’s (February 2) The Late Late Show, host James Corden took issue with the fact that an American singer, Adam, 35 – who just announced that he’s heading back on the road with Brian May and Roger Taylor this summer – is leading his long-time favorite British rock group.

So, naturally, the 38-year-old London-born host challenged Adam to an epic frontman battle to end all frontman battles.

Adam and James showed off their vocal skills with performances of “We Will Rock You,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” “Another One Bites the Dust” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

Adam Lambert is heading back on the road with Queen this summer and they just announced a 25-city arena tour for North America!

The tour is set to kick off on June 23 in Phoenix and it will wrap on August 5 in Houston.

Adam will join the band’s Brian May and Roger Taylor on the road for a newly designed show during which they’ll perform such hits as “Another One Bites the Dust,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You,” and “We Are The Champions.”

Tickets for on sale on Friday, February 3 at 10am local time. Presales will kick off on Tuesday, January 31 at 10am for fan club members.

George Michael once sang the famous Queen song “Somebody to Love” at a tribute concert for the late Freddie Mercury and the video has resurfaced following the singer’s sudden death.

The video was filmed at a rehearsal for the concert in 1992 and George sounds amazing in the clip!

Brian May, the lead guitarist of the band, performed with George at the tribute and he memorialized the singer on Instagram following his death. “No words. RIP George,” he captioned a screencap of the video.
