Simon Cowell makes a surprise appearance on stage during the American Idol series finale on Thursday (April 7) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The 56-year-old former judge stepped out to reunite the original panel with Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.

“I’d like to say on behalf of us, thank you America for inviting us into your homes. Thank you to the contestants, to Fox for actually putting us on air, to you guys for actually being my best friends now, and I am going to miss you,” Simon said during the appearance.

Katharine McPhee and Kelly Rowland hit the carpet at Delta Airlines’ Toast to Grammys Weekend on Friday (February 12) at NeueHouse Hollywood in Los Angeles.

Kesha looks white hot while stepping out for the 2015 Delete Blood Cancer Gala on Thursday evening (April 16) in New York City.

The 28-year-old entertainer was joined at the event by Peyton List, Georgia May Jagger, Randy Jackson, and Olivia Palermo.

100% of the proceeds will be used for bone marrow donor registration. Blood Cancer is the second most common cause of cancer deaths in the U.S. For many patients, a bone marrow transplant is their only hope for survival.

After thirteen years on the hit reality competition series, Randy Jackson is officially going to be leaving American Idol for real this time.

The 58-year-old music producer served as a judge on the program for twelve seasons before announcing his departure to work on other ventures. He then returned to the show in the mentor slot vacated by Jimmy Iovine.

It has now been announced that Randy will not return for season fourteen next year.

“Randy has been such an integral part of American Idol since Day 1, both as a judge and as a mentor. He’s provided great advice and support, shaping the success of so many Idols we have discovered over the years. We wish him all the best in his next chapter. Randy will always be part of our Idol family and we hope he’ll visit from time to time,” Fox, Idol producers FremantleMedia North America, and 19 Entertainment said in a statement (via The Hollywood Reporter).
