Ready Player One is nearly here!

The upcoming action sci-fi movie, directed by Steven Spielberg, will be released on March 29.

The movie co-stars Letitia Wright, Hannah John-Kamen, Ben Mendelsohn, Simon Pegg, T.J. Miller, Olivia Cooke, Tye Sheridan, Mark Rylance and Lena Waithe.

Here’s a plot summary: when the creator of a virtual reality world called the OASIS dies, he releases a video in which he challenges all OASIS users to find his Easter Egg, which will give the finder his fortune. Wade Watts finds the first clue and starts a race for the Egg.

Ready Player One is getting closer!

The upcoming Steven Spielberg-directed film just released a new teaser trailer on Sunday (January 21).

The movie’s newest teaser trailer was advertised during the Sunday NFL division championship games.

The teaser clip features of snippets of classic Steven-directed films, including Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T. and Indiana Jones, along with comments made by author Ernest Cline and a chat with the director.

Are you excited to see the film? Ready Player One hits theaters on March 30.

The trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of Ernest Cline‘s Ready Player One, directed by Steven Spielberg, is here – and it’s packed full of pop culture easter eggs!

The trailer, released on Sunday (December 10), includes tons of split-second cameos.

Here’s what fans have found so far: the DeLorean time machine from Back to the Future, the Batmobile from the 1960s Batman TV series, Iron Giant, Chun Li from Street Fighter,the Mach Five from Speed Racer, the RX-78-2 Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam, Chucky from Child’s Play, King Kong, Tracer from Overwatch, Kaneda’s red motorcycle from Akira and Harley Quinn. It’s gamer/pop culture nerd overload!

The co-stars were joined at the event by T.J. Miller, Ben Mendelsohn, director Steven Spielberg, and author Ernie Cline.

The futuristic movie features such 80s icons as The Iron Giant, Freddie Krueger, and the DeLorean from Back to the Future. You can see them all in the first footage from the film, which debuted during the panel.

“What made me want to tell the story more than anything else, was the kind of world 2045 gives to people, which is so dystopian,” Steven said during the panel (via THR). “People are leaving the country and all of a sudden virtual reality gives you a choice, gives you another world to exist in. And you can do anything in that world. Anything you can possibly imagine … that interaction between real life and virtual life, by the third act of this movie is virtual non-existant.”
