Reeve Carney Rocks Out at Pianos

Reeve Carney performs on stage with his band Carney during a headlining concert at Pianos on Sunday (October 10) in the Lower East Side of NYC.

The 27-year-old frontman will star in the highly-anticipated Broadway musical Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark, which opens next month! Reeve recently premiered a song from the show on Good Morning America.

Reeve can be seen with Helen Mirren and Russell Brand in the Julie Taymor-directed The Tempest, which opens in theaters on December 10th!

Matt Bomer: 'Social Network' Screening!

White Collar hunk Matt Bomer hits up the The Social Network screening at NYC’s School of Visual Arts Theater on Wednesday (September 29).

The movie is in theaters now and will be #1 at the box office this weekend. Estimated earnings: $27 million!

Earlier in the month, the 32-year-old actor attended a few NY Fashion Week events including the Calvin Klein after-party. Matt also sat front row at the Simon Spurr Spring 2011 fashion show held at Exit Art. He sat alongside super stylist Brad Goreski (The Rachel Zoe Project), Twilight‘s Xavier Samuel and Reeve Carney (Spiderman: The Musical).

Reeve Carney: Spider-Man Broadway Preview!

Reeve Carney makes an appearance on Good Morning America on Friday (September 10) in New York City to perform a song from Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark!

The 27-year-old Carney frontman performed “Boy Falling From The Sky” from U2 and Julie Taymor‘s musical, which hits Broadway in previews beginning November 14.

Evan Rachel Wood & Carney: Love Me, Chase Me!

Earlier this week, we showed you the behind-the-scenes footage of Evan Rachel Wood and Carney filming the band’s video for “Love Me, Chase Me” – now the video’s out!

Carney guitarist Zane shares, “It is my pleasure to announce the debut of Carney’s first music video, ‘Love Me Chase Me’. It’s been quite a long time coming and we’re so excited to finally have something to share with you. This video was shot in the scorching Riverside heat under the supervision of an incredible labor of love crew to whom we are forever grateful. It was announced yesterday that rocker Reeve Carney will be starring as Peter Parker/Spider-man in Julie Taymor‘s Broadway production of Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark. Watch him talk about it below!

The music was written by U2′s Bono and The Edge and the rest of the Carney band (Aiden, Jon and Zane) will even be playing in the orchestra pit!

Reeve Carney Talks Spider-Man Role

Reeve Carney is Broadway's Spider-Man

Reeve Carney has been selected to play the superhero Spider-Man in the the new Broadway musical, Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark.

U2’s Bono and The Edge will be bringing the music and lyric to the mega-production, which will be directed by Julie Taymor.

A press release sent out on Friday reads, “After an exhaustive search that included a casting call tour spanning six cities and thousands of candidates, the producers and creative team have selected Reeve Carney to play the role of Peter Parker, The Amazing Spider-Man. Carney joins previously announced cast members Evan Rachel Wood as Mary Jane Watson, Peter Parker’s girlfriend and Alan Cumming as Norman Osborn (aka Green Goblin).”

Mr. Carney is the lead singer of the rock band Carney. He also starred in 1999′s Snow Falling on Cedars portraying a young Ethan Hawke and plays Ferdinand in the upcoming Julie Taymor movie The Tempest.

Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark will open at the Hilton Theater next year.
