Celine Dion debuts her baby boys, Nelson and Eddy, on the cover of Hello! Canada this week.

The 42-year-old singing sensation gave birth to the boys in late October and has been adjusting to the new sleeping habits – or lack thereof – of her little ones.

“Every day Rene asks, ‘Did you sleep well?’” Celine said. “I’m like, ‘You must be kidding! There is no sleep!”’

Celine also said that the boys already exhibit different personality traits. “Nelson is Angelil, Eddy is Dion!” she shared.

Celine Dion, who gave birth almost a week ago, was originally expecting triplets before she lost one of the babies.

In an interview that the 42-year-old singer gave with a French news station before the birth, she revealed that a few days after hearing the news she was expecting triplets, one of the babies hearts stopped beating.

Celine was devastated but said “he chose to let go to give space to his brothers to grow.”

Celine and her sons Nelson and Eddy were released from the hospital on Wednesday.

The fraternal twin boys, born on Saturday (October 23) are named Nelson and Eddy, after Nelson Mandela and songwriter Eddy Marnay.

“They do look alike,” Rene shared with Etalk earlier this week. “But maybe they won’t look alike in a few months because they are not identical twins.”

The couple announced the happy news on a telecast on Quebec’s television network TVA.

Rene Angelil is speaking out about the recent birth of his twin boys with wife Celine Dion.

Here’s what the proud papa had to share with Canada’s ETalk (in an interview airing Monday and Tuesday, October 25-26):

On their reaction to the births: “When Saturday at 11:11 came, and they showed us the first baby that was crying, we were crying. It was a very emotional moment, and even though we didn’t speak to each other, we were both thinking about the time it took. We are very lucky, very privileged and very fortunate to have these boys.”

On the fraternal twins’ characteristics: “They do look alike but maybe they won’t look alike in a few months because they are not identical twins.”

On what older son Rene Charles, 9, thinks of his baby brothers: “He was very, very happy that it was boys. I remember a few months ago when his mom told him the day we would find out the sex of the baby, his reaction pointing to his mom’s belly was ‘I hope there’s not too many girls in there.’”

Celine Dion gave birth to fraternal twin boys on Saturday (October 23) at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The 42-year-old singer, husband Rene Angelil, and their 9-year-old son Rene-Charles “are thrilled,” her rep tells People.

The boys, who were born at 11:11 a.m. and 11:12 a.m., weighed in at 5 lbs., 4 oz., and 5 lbs., 10 oz.

Though the twins are healthy, they will spend the next few days in an incubator since they were born premature.

“Celine is resting now and they plan to discuss what to name the boys when she wakes up,” adds the rep.

Celine Dion has been admitted to a hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida to prevent the early delivery of her twin boys.

Here’s what the PR department of the hospital said: “Ms. Celine Dion has been admitted to St. Mary’ s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida for observation at the recommendation of her doctors. She has been admitted to prevent the early delivery of her babies which is a fairly common clinical practice for mothers of twins. This is done to ensure the patient can be in close contact with their doctors and clinical resources, leading up to their birth.

“Celine and Rene have placed the health of their babies as their highest priority. Recently, rumors have circulated that Ms. Dion has made certain demands of St. Mary’ s Medical Center regarding the birth of her children. All of these rumors are false. At no time did Ms. Dion or her husband make any special demands or requests of the hospital. She is not scheduled at any predetermined date for her delivery. She has not requested or selected any particular staff or accommodations not available to other patients. The patient is being treated as any other OB patient who comes to St. Mary’ s Medical Center. Although the family did not ask us to do so, the hospital has chosen to enhance our security efforts during this time for the convenience and safety of all our patients and their families within this same area of our facility.

“We look forward to the day of Ms. Dion’s delivery of her twins. During this time, we ask the public and the media respect the privacy of all of our patients and their families at our hospital.”

The 42-year-old Titantic singer is expecting twin boys in November. Husband Rene Angelil, 9 1/2 year old son, Rene-Charles, and their dog, Charlie join Celine on the cover.

Her rep recently spoke to People about pregnancy complication rumors, stating, “She’s never been in the hospital – her pregnancy continues to be healthy and she feels fantastic! As with most women expecting multiples, her doctor wants her to stay off her feet as much as possible as she finishes her pregnancy.”
