Timothée Chalamet Honors Armie Hammer at Texas Film Awards: 'That's Somebody I Want To Become'

Timothée Chalamet has nothing but love for his Call Me By Your Name co-star Armie Hammer!

While presenting his 31-year-old cast mate with the Variety One to Acclaim Award at the 2018 Texas Film Awards on Thursday (March 8) in Austin, Texas, the 22-year-old Oscar-nominee shared some sweet words about Armie.

“This is really easy for me to because I’m young, obviously my career’s been very short, but I’ve been fortunate enough to work with a lot of really great actors, a lot of great human beings… but the relationship I’ve had with Armie is unlike the relationship I’ve had with other actors,” Timothée expressed during the awards ceremony.

“In an industry for young male actors, there aren’t a ton of road maps that you can point at and say, ‘That’s somebody I want to become,’ and I felt this way since I met him…,” Timothée continued. “I’m just all the better for it. It’s humanity, it’s loving fatherhood, it’s being a loving husband, it’s hard work…”

Timothée and Armie were joined at the event by his wife Elizabeth Chambers, as well as fellow honorees Richard Linklater and Paul Thomas Anderson.

Michael Fassbender's 'Song to Song' Could Have Been a Mini-Series

Michael Fassbender sits down for a panel discussion about his movie Song to Song during the 2017 SXSW Festival on Saturday morning (March 11) in Austin, Tex.

The 39-year-old actor was interviewed by director Richard Linklater alongside his Song to Song director Terrence Malick, who made a rare appearance in public for the event.

Terrence opened up about how the original cut of the film was eight hours long and he rhetorically asked at the time if he was making a mini-series.
