One of the most special moments of the night during Hairspray Live was when three different Tracy Turnblads united during “Welcome to the 60s.”

Ricki Lake, who played the role in the 1988 movie, and Marissa Jaret Winokur, who played the role in the 2002 Broadway musical, made a special appearance in the song alongside Maddie Baillio, who is playing the role in the NBC live production.

“Welcome to the 60s” is a song that features Tracy getting her mom Edna (Harvey Fierstein) out of the house to experience what the world is like during the 1960s.

NBC might have recast the principals in Hairspray for their upcoming live rendition but that doesn’t mean that the former Tracy Turnblad’s don’t want a piece of the action. It was recently announced that Ricki Lake and Marissa Jaret Winokur will make an appearance in the upcoming show. But what will their parts be?

During the recent press junket, the executives wouldn’t tell us much. “They will have cameos. The rest is a surprise,” producer Neil Meron said.

“Marissa and I obviously have been very close for 16 years and she just kept saying to me, ‘I really want to do something,’” Harvey Fierstein said. “I’ve been saying to Neil and Craig, ‘Let’s use Ricki and Marissa‘ and then they said ‘Okay, what should they do?’ I gave them three choices but I said I think this is the right one and that’s the one that we chose,” he revealed.

While they were mum on the details of which numbers Ricki and Marissa would partake in, the creative team behind the show did tell us that the women are extremely excited to be on board. “Well, there’s a People Magazine spread that came out today with Maddie, Marissa and Ricki all sitting under hair dryers or something,” Harvey added. “So I think they’re really happy. I mean Marissa writes to me daily saying, ‘Can I come to the set today?’ so I’m like “Go away! Go away!” he jokes. “It’s going to be so fun having them here.”

Aaron Tveit and Matthew Morrison are two dapper dudes while attending the New York Pops 31st Birthday Gala held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Monday evening (April 28) in New York City.

The guys both played the role of Link Larkin in the Broadway musical Hairspray and were joined by Matthew‘s original cast mates Marissa Jaret Winokur, Laura Bell Bundy, and Kerry Butler.

Also joining the cast were Ricki Lake who played Tracy Turnblad in the original movie and Nikki Blonsky who played that role in the recent musical remake.

All of the stars hit the stage at Carnegie Hall that evening to perform the showstopper “You Can’t Stop the Beat” to help honor the show’s composers Marc Shaiman and Scott Whitman.

Adam Lambert rocks the red carpet in a purple patterned suit at the 2013 TrevorLIVE LA event held at the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday (December 8) in Hollywood.

The 31-year-old entertainer was joined by the host for the evening Kathy Griffin, who also met up on the red carpet with Ricki Lake. Also joining the guests at the event were musician Sia, Glee‘s Ryan Murphy and Fergie, Jennifer Coolidge, and Paula Abdul.

Adam performed that evening for The Trevor Project benefit!

Johnny Depp holds his girlfriend Amber Heard‘s hand while walking through the Hollywood Forever Cemetary on Sunday evening (August 18) in Hollywood.

The 50-year-old actor was in attendance for the 2013 Johnny Ramone Tribute, which was hosted by John Waters and featured a reunion screening of the classic film Cry-Baby.

Johnny was joined at the event by his co-stars Ricki Lake, Traci Lords, and Joe Dallesandro, as well as Johnny Ramone‘s widow Linda Ramone and burlesque star Dita Von Teese.

Sarah Hyland dazzles on the red carpet at the Trevor Project’s 2012 Trevor Live held at The Hollywood Palladium on Sunday (December 2) in Los Angeles.

The 22-year-old Modern Family actress was joined at the event by The Vampire Diaries‘ Paul Wesley, Derek Hough, NCIS‘ Pauley Perrette, Ricki Lake, stylist Brad Goreski, Dermot Mulroney, and 2 Broke Girls‘ Beth Behrs.
