B. Smith Dead - Style Expert & Model Dies of Alzheimer's Disease at 70

Barbara Smith, best known as B. Smith, has sadly died.

The model and TV personality died on Saturday night (February 22) due to early onset Alzheimer’s disease at home in Long Island, New York, according to her husband Dan Gasby.

“It is with great sadness that my daughter Dana and I announce the passing of my wife, Barbara Elaine Smith. B. died peacefully Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 10:50 pm, of Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease in our home in Long Island, New York. She was 70. Thank you to Dr. Sam Gandy, East End Hospice, and additional caregivers who helped us make B. comfortable in her final days. Thank you to all the friends and fans who supported B. and our family during her journey. Thank you to everyone for respecting our privacy during this agonizing time. Heaven is shining even brighter now that it is graced with B.‘s dazzling and unforgettable smile,” he wrote.

B. burst onto the scene as a model in the ’70, and later hosted her B. Smith With Style in the early 2000s, as well as launching a home collection and series of home entertainment books.

She opened up about her diagnosis back in 2014.

Candace Muzny Dead - Former NASCAR Driver Dies at 43 One Month After Arrest

Candace Muzny has sadly died at the age of 43.

The former NASCAR driver was found dead at her Ski Island home near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Monday, February 17, KOCO 5 reports.

At the time, authorities told the local outlet there were no obvious signs of a homicide, but considered the death “suspicious.” A medical examiner’s office has since determined the cause of Candace’s death to be an accidental drowning, according to a KFOR report.

Candace‘s death comes over a month after she was arrested and taken into police custody after she reportedly attacked a nail salon employee for not speaking English.

She was also accused of threatening the woman with a pocket knife, as well as battery on a police officer who responded to the call.

Celebrity Deaths in 2020 - Remembering The Stars We've Lost

We’re remembering some beloved celebrities who have passed away in 2020 so far. From beloved actors to big time music stars, there have been some shocking deaths in just January and early February alone.

We’re unfortunately only a few weeks into the new year and there have been a handful of deaths so far this year. Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi passed away late in January from a helicopter crash. Kirk Douglas, the legendary actor, sadly just passed away at the age of 103, his family confirmed.

Our continued thoughts are with all the friends, families, and loved ones of the celebrities who have passed away this year so far. Rest in peace.

Pop Smoke Dead - Rapper Killed in Apparent Home Invasion at Age 20

Rapper Pop Smoke has reportedly been shot and killed in a home invasion robbery.

The 20-year-old entertainer was at his Hollywood Hills home on Wednesday morning (February 19) when 2 men reportedly in masks and hoodies broke in at around 4:30 am, TMZ reports.

The two men reportedly began shooting and shot and killed Pop Smoke, who’s real name is Bashar Barakah Jackson.

He was quickly taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center but was pronounced dead.

Pop Smoke‘s “Welcome to the Party” was a massive hit over the summer and was even remixed by Nicki Minaj.

Zoe Caldwell Dead - Four-Time Tony Winner & 'Master Class' Actress Dies at 86

Zoe Caldwell has sadly passed away at the age of 86.

The four-time Tony winner – who played Maria Callas in Broadway’s Master Class – died of Parkinson’s disease complications on Sunday (February 16) at her home in Pound Ridge, N.Y., her son Charlie Whitehead told Deadline.

Besides Master Class, Zoe‘s four lead actress Tony Awards were also given for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Slapstick Tragedy, and Madea.

Zoe also appeared in films such as The Purple Rose of Cairo and Lilo & Stitch. Her TV roles included adaptations of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Most recently, she starred in 2011′s Extremely Loud and Dangerously Close.

Ja'Net DuBois Dead - 'Good Times' Actress Dies at 74

Ja’Net DuBois has sadly passed away at the age of 74.

The actress – known for her role on the 1970s series Good Times – was found dead on Tuesday (February 18) at her home in Glendale, Calif., TMZ reports.

Her family told the outlet that she died unexpectedly in her sleep. She reportedly had not complained of any specific health issues and appeared to be in good health.

Her other appearances include I’m Gonna Git You Sucka, Tropic Thunder, and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. She also performed on Broadway and won two Emmy awards for her work on The PJs.

Ja’net also composed and sang the Jeffersons theme song “Movin’ On Up.”
