Cokie Roberts Dead - Renowned Journalist Dies at 75

Renowned journalist and political commentator Cokie Roberts has passed away at the age of 75.

“We will miss Cokie beyond measure, both for her contributions and for her love and kindness,” her family said in a statement to ABC.

As part of her accolades, Cokie won 3 Emmys over her decades-long career, is part of the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame, and was named by the American Women in Radio and Television as one of the 50 greatest women in the history of broadcasting.

She is survived by her husband, kids, and six grandkids.

Carnivale's Brian Turk Dead at 49 From Cancer

Brian Turk, who starred on HBO’s Carnivale, has tragically passed away at the age of 49 from cancer.

TMZ reports that he was diagnosed with brain cancer last year, and it became terminal. He passed away on Friday (September 13).

Throughout his career, Brian had roles in Two and a Half Men, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Jamie Foxx Show, Step by Step, Wings, Beverly Hills, 90210, Boy Meets World, ER, Criminal Minds, General Hospital, Animal Kingdom, NCIS, and more.

Ric Ocasek Dead - The Cars Singer & Guitarist Passes Away at 75

Ric Ocasek has sadly passed away. He was 75-years-old.

The Cars singer and guitarist was found dead on Sunday (September 15) at his townhouse in New York Sunday, Page Six reports.

It is being reported that Ric was found unconscious and unresponsive around 4pm by his estranged wife, Paulina Porizkova.

As of right now, the cause of Ric’s death has not been released.

Ric was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year.

Ric has five adult sons – Oliver, Jonathan, Christopher, Eron, and Derek.

Eddie Money Dead - Singer Dies at 70

Eddie Money has sadly died.

The “Two Tickets to Paradise” singer died on Friday (September 13) at the age of 70, his family confirmed in a statement.

“The Money Family regrets to announce that Eddie passed away peacefully early this morning. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving husband and father. We cannot imagine our world without him. We are grateful that he will live on forever through his music,” they said.

Eddie chronicled his health struggles in a reality TV series called Real Money, which premiered in April last year.

Eddie gained notoriety with hits like “Baby Hold On” and “Take Me Home Tonight” with Ronnie Spector, and released 11 albums in his career beginning in 1977 with his self-titled debut.

NFL Player Chris Smith's Girlfriend Petara Cordero Killed in Front of Him in Tragic Accident

Cleveland Browns defensive end Chris Smith’s girlfriend, Petara Cordero, sadly passed away after a tragic accident.

Chris, 27, and Petara, 26, were pulled over on the side of I-90 West in Cleveland, Ohio after a tire problem in his car on Wednesday (September 11).

After exiting the car, Petara was struck by another car and killed in front of Chris. Chris was uninjured.

To make this story even more tragic, Chris and Petara just welcomed a daughter, Haven Harris Smith, four weeks ago.

“Words cannot describe the sorrow we feel for Chris following the loss of his girlfriend, Petara,” Dee and Jimmy Haslam, the owners of the Cleveland Browns, said. “Our entire organization mourns with Chris, his family and the Cordero family. We will do everything possible to offer them our support, comfort and any resources in this most difficult time.”

Mardik Martin Dead - 'Raging Bull' Screenwriter Dies at 82

Mardik Martin has sadly died.

The screenwriter, known for frequent collaborations with Martin Scorsese including Raging Bull, Mean Streets and New York, New York, died on Wednesday (September 11) in Los Angeles at the age of 82.

“My friend and colleague Mardik Martin died this morning. You may know him for his writing in Mean Streets, Raging Bull, New York New York. To say that Mardik was one of a kind is a wild understatement. No one—no one—will ever fill those shoes. May he rest in well-earned peace,” screenwriter Howard Rodman wrote.

His last screenplay credit was for Fatih Akin‘s The Cut in 2014. There was also a documentary released in 2008 about his life, called Mardik: Baghdad to Hollywood.
