Colin Kroll Dead - HQ Trivia Co-Founder & CEO Passes Away at 35

Colin Kroll, who was the CEO and co-founder of the popular app game HQ Trivia, has passed away at the age of 35 from an apparent drug overdose.

TMZ is reporting that police visited his downtown Manhattan apartment on Sunday (December 16) after Colin‘s girlfriend asked them to do a welfare check.

Colin‘s body was allegedly found with drug paraphernalia nearby. There has been no official word on Colin‘s death at this time.

Colin previously worked at Twitter and was also the co-founder of the video app Vine.

Nancy Wilson Dead - Grammy-Winning Jazz Singer Dies at 81

Nancy Wilson, one of the most legendary jazz singers of our time, has died at age 81.

The late singer’s manager confirmed her death to the Associated Press. She died on late Thursday night (December 13) at her home in Pioneertown, a town near Joshua Tree National Park in California. She died peacefully after a long illness.

Nancy preferred being referred to as a “song stylist” and she recorded more than seventy albums before retiring in the early 2010s. She won three Grammy Awards, first in 1965 and then again in 2005 and 2007.

Sondra Locke Dead - Oscar-Nominated Actress Dies at 74

Sondra Locke, an actress who received an Oscar nomination for her first-ever film role, has died at the age of 74.

Locke passed away on November 3 following a bottle with breast and bone cancer, Variety reports.

Sondra won a nationwide talent search to earn her role in The Heart is a Lonely Hunter and she received a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the Oscars. She later was in a relationship with Clint Eastwood for over a decade and starred in many of his films.

Dolly Parton's Brother Floyd Passes Away at Age 61

Dolly Parton‘s brother Floyd has sadly passed away at the age of 61.

His obituary was listed on Tennessee’s Atchley Funeral Home website and lists his date of death as December 6.

Dolly and Floyd often wrote music together including the 1991 duet “Rockin’ Years” with Ricky Van Shelton and 1978’s “Nickels and Dimes,” among many others.

Floyd is survived by his sisters Dolly Rachel, Willadeene, Stella, Cassie, and Freida, and brothers David, Coy Denver, Bobby, and Randy.

Pete Shelley Dead - Buzzcocks Leader Dies at 63

Pete Shelley has sadly passed away at the age of 63.

The lead singer and co-founder of the English punk rock band Buzzcocks died of a suspected heart attack on Thursday (December 6) in Estonia, BBC reports.

His bandmates tweeted a statement, saying, “Pete‘s music has inspired generations of musicians over a career that spanned five decades and with his band and as a solo artist, he was held in the highest regard by the music industry and by his fans around the world.”

Buzzcocks were best known in the U.S. for their 1978 single “Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve).”

Pete is survived by his brother Gary.
