Diego Maradona Dead - Soccer Legend Dies at 60

Diego Maradona has sadly died.

The Argentinian soccer legend has passed away at the age of 60 in Buenos Aires, according to the Argentinian newspaper Clarín on Wednesday (November 25). His lawyer then confirmed the reports.

According to the report, he died due to “cardiorespiratory arrest.”

He is widely considered one of the greatest soccer players of all time, leading Argentina to the World Cup victory in 1986. He was given the nickname “El Pibe de Oro” (“The Golden Boy”) and played for Boca Juniors, Napoli and Barcelona among others, and was responsible for the infamous “Hand of God,” used to describe a goal that he scored in the Argentina v England match during the 1986 FIFA World Cup, that eliminated England from the 1986 tournament.

He was also honored with the FIFA Player of the 20th Century award, and briefly coached Argentina during the 2010 World Cup.

He had a successful operation for a blood clot on the brain after being admitted to the Ipensa clinic in Buenos Aires with anemia and dehydration earlier in November, but alcohol withdrawal symptoms kept him in hospital for longer, BBC reported earlier in the month.

Bill Murray's Brother Ed & Inspiration Behind 'Caddyshack' Has Passed Away

Bill Murray‘s eldest brother Ed Murray has sadly passed away. He was 75-years-old.

Ed‘s passing was announced on Monday (November 23) on his apparel company, William Murray Golf’s Instagram.

“It’s with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of the legend Ed Murray,” the announcement read. “Named after the family patriarch, it was Ed who introduced the Murray family to this wonderful game of golf—by way of caddying at Indian Hills Country Club—at the age of 10, no less. (They don’t make ‘em like that anymore.)”

Ed was the inspiration behind Bill‘s hit 1980′s movie Caddyshack.

“Ed was the recipient of the Evans Scholarship back in 1963, while attending Northwestern University—a scholarship awarded to golf caddies—a family storyline which served as inspiration for the Danny Noonan character in ‘Caddyshack’ when Brian Doyle-Murray co-wrote that iconic screenplay,” the announcement continued.

“Ed and all five Murray brothers are members of the Caddie Hall of Fame, as well—something all the boys take pride in, as this game helped shape their lives,” the announcement added. “It was an honor for all of us to get to know Ed and to spend time with him over the past half decade as we’ve built this brand with the Murray family—and his loss is a hole that will never be filled.”

The announcement concluded: “Thank you for always being so gracious, Ed. Our hearts are with his lovely family. Rest in paradise, to a true family man and a gentle, sweet soul. May we honor your memory from this day forward. #MurrayBrothers #WilliamMurray #MurrayMoments”

MasterChef Junior's Ben Watkins Passes Away At The Young Age of 14

Ben Watkins, who was a competitor on MasterChef Junior, has sadly died at the age of 14.

The young star and culinary master was battling a rare form of cancer, called Angiomatoid Fibrous Histiocytoma.

The cancer is a soft tissue tumor that typically is seen in children and young adults, and he was diagnosed just after his 13th birthday last September.

In a statement on a GoFundMe page from his maternal grandmother and uncle, they shared that Ben passed away on Monday, November 16.

“After losing both of his parents in September 2017, we have marveled at Ben’s strength, courage and love for life,” the statement reads. “He never, ever complained. Ben was and will always be the strongest person we know. When Ben’s rare illness was shared with the world, he was so heartened by the outpouring of love he received from every corner of the globe — especially here in his hometown of Gary, Indiana.”

It continues, “Ben suffered more than his share in his fourteen years on this Earth but we take solace in that his suffering is finally over, and in that, in the end, Ben knew he was loved by so many.”

Ben lost both of his parents in a tragic murder suicide in 2017.

He appeared on season 6 of MasterChef Junior and placed in the top 18 on the reality competition series.

Just months ago, the cast and crew of the show recorded a special message for Ben during his battle.
