Yordano Ventura RIP - Royals Pitcher Dies in Car Crash

Kansas City Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura has tragically died.

He was just 25 years old and was killed in a car crash on Sunday (January 22) in his native Dominican Republic.

“Our prayers right now are with Yordano‘s family as we mourn this young man’s passing,” Royals general manager Dayton Moore said in a statement (via ESPN). “He was so young and so talented, full of youthful exuberance and always brought a smile to everyone he interacted with. We will get through this as an organization, but right now is a time to mourn and celebrate the life of Yordano.”

Yordano‘s nickname was “Ace” and he boasted a 100 mph fastball. He was part of the team that won the World Series in 2015.

That same day, former major league infielder Andy Marte also died in a separate car accident in the Dominican Republic.

'NCIS: Los Angeles' Actor Miguel Ferrer Dies at 61, Cousin George Clooney Reacts

Miguel Ferrer, best known for his roles on the shows NCIS: Los Angeles and Crossing Jordan, has passed away at the age of 61.

The actor died on Thursday (January 19) while surrounded by family and close friends following a battle with cancer.

Miguel‘s illness was incorporated into his role on NCIS as his cancer started to affect his voice. He has been on the show since 2012 and decided not to quit after his diagnosis. He will soon be seen in the revival of Twin Peaks as the same character he played on the original series, Albert Rosenfield.

George Clooney, one of Miguel‘s cousins, is mourning his death and has released a statement remembering his family member.

Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka Dead - WWE Legend Passes Away at 73

Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka has passed away, Dwayne Johnson has announced on his Twitter. He was 73-years-old.

The professional wrestler was one of the most well-known wrestlers during his time in the 1970s and 1980s, earning him a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996.

Back in December, Jimmy‘s lawyer told New York Daily News that he was in a hospice care in Florida and that he only a had a short period of time left to live.

Jimmy was accused of murdering his girlfriend back in 1983, but wasn’t arrested or charged until 30 years later. In 2015, the judge in the case dismissed the case ruling that Jimmy was unfit for a trial due to his mental health (via People).

Dwayne shared on Twitter the news of his fellow wrestler’s death.

Dick Gautier Dead - Hymie the Robot on 'Get Smart' Dies at 85

Dick Gautier, best known for playing Hymie the Robot on the hit series Get Smart, has sadly passed away at the age of 85.

The Tony-nominated actor’s daughter Denise told The Hollywood Reporter that her father died due to a longtime illness.

Dick passed away on Friday night (January 13) at an assisted living facility in Arcadia, Calif.

Dick was also known for his role as Conrad Birdie in the 1960 musical Bye, Bye Birdie, as well as for voicing some characters in the the shows Tom and Jerry and The Addams Family.

Dick is survived by his wife Dr. Tess Hightower and their three kids Denise, Randy, and Chrissie. We send our thoughts to his loved ones during this difficult time.

Dan Kay Dead - Former 'Survivor' Contestant Dies at 40

Survivor: Gabon contestant Dan Kay has sadly passed away, according to People.

The 40-year-old attorney and reality star unexpectedly passed away on Saturday (December 31).

Dan‘s obituary mentions his role on the reality show, saying his “desire to be challenged and his quest for adventure led to his participation on the reality show, Survivor.”

He was the eighth person to be voted out of Survivor: Gabon, which aired in 2008.

“I just heard the very sad news about the sudden loss of Dan Kay of Survivor: Gabon. The Survivor family sends our love to Dan‘s family,” Survivor host Jeff Probst tweeted.

Past players are also sending their condolences via social media.

William Christopher Dead - 'MASH' Actor Dies at 84

William Christopher, best known for playing Father John Mulcahy on the hit series M*A*S*H, has sadly passed away at the age of 84.

The actor’s son John confirmed the news to ABC and revealed that the cause of death was his battle with non-lung small cell carcinoma.

William died on Saturday (December 31) at his home in Pasadena, Calif.

Other TV credits include William‘s roles on The Love Boat, Hogan’s Heroes, a voice-over role on Smurfs, and most recently a stint on Days of Our Lives in 2012.

William is survived by his wife Barbara and their two sons John and Ned. We send our condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time.

Allan Williams Dead - The Beatles' First Manager Dies at 86

Allan Williams, the man who originally managed the Beatles, has passed away at the age of 86.

The music manager, who became known as “the man who gave the Beatles away,” died in his hometown of Liverpool, England.

Allan helped the book some of their first shows, including one at the coffee shop he owned, the Jacaranda.

After a dispute over commission with the group, Allan allowed Brian Epstein to take over management duties.

“I’m stunned that I am writing something in the same context within days. Just heard Allan Williams whom I had a great relationship with starting back in 1960 on our maiden voyage to Hamburg, where we cut our teeth and learnt our craft has passed away. My deepest condolences to the Williams family. God bless you Allan and thank you,” the Beatles‘ former drummer Pete Best wrote on Facebook.
