Justin Wilson Dead - IndyCar Driver Passes Away at 37 After Pocono Raceway Crash

IndyCar Driver Justin Wilson has tragically passed away after suffering a severe head injury on Sunday (August 23).

The 37-year-old race car driver got into a terrible car crash during a race at Pocono Raceway. The race’s leader Sage Karam spun out and caused debris. The debris caused Justin to veer off the course and hit a wall head-on.

“I can’t find the proper words to describe the pain and sympathy I feel for Justin and his family. #RIPJustin” Sage tweeted upon hearing the sad news.

Justin‘s family has released a statement (via E! News), “The family would like to thank the staff at the Lehigh Valley Health Network Cedar Crest Hospital, Pocono Raceway, Andretti Autosport, and the Verixon IndyCar Series as well as the entire racing community for the amazing outpouring of support from fans around the world,” adding that he was a, “loving father and devoted husband.”

Yvonne Craig Dead - Original Batgirl Dies at 78

Yvonne Craig, the first woman to play the role of Batgirl, has died at age 78.

The actress passed away in her home in Pacific Palisades, Calif. on Monday night (August 17), according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Yvonne‘s nephew Christopher Carson announced that she was suffering from breast cancer, which had metastasized to her liver.

After starting her career in ballet, Yvonne went on to star opposite Elvis Presley in two of his movies before landing her role on the 1960s ABC series Batman. She played Batgirl for two seasons and later made a memorable appearance in an episode of Star Trek.

Morgan Freeman's Granddaughter E'Dena Hines Dead After Stabbing

Morgan Freeman‘s step-granddaughter E’Dena Hines was stabbed to death in the early hours of Sunday (August 16) in New York City.

The 33-year-old was found with multiple stab wounds on the street in Washington Heights before being taken to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A 30-year-old man was taken into custody and is undergoing psychiatric evaluation after being found kneeling over her body.

“The world will never know her artistry and talent, and how much she had to offer,” Morgan said in a statement (via People). “Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person. Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace.”

Uggie the Dog Dead - 'The Artist' Star Put to Sleep at Age 13

Uggie the Dog, the adorable Jack Russell Terrier featured in the Oscar-winning movie The Artist, has died at the age of 13.

The dog’s owner Omar Von Mueller made the difficult decision to put him to sleep after a brave battle with a prostate tumor.

“I will forever hold him dearly in my heart and never forget his infinite love for chicken and hotdogs,” Sarah Clifford, the dog’s trainer, told TMZ.

Uggie received several awards for his work in The Artist and he even was immortalized with a hand and footprint ceremony in Hollywood. See lots of photos from his appearances below!

Kathie Lee Gifford Breaks Silence on Husband Frank's Death

Kathie Lee Gifford is thanking friends and fans for the support following the death of her husband Frank on Sunday (August 9) at their home in Connecticut.

The 61-year-old Today host took to Twitter after news broke that the 84-year-old NFL Hall of Famer and sportscaster passed away from natural causes.

“Deeply grateful to all 4 ur outpouring of grace. We r steadfast in our faith & finding comfort in knowing where Frank is. Phillippians 4:13,” she tweeted.

Kathie‘s good friend and co-host Hoda Kotb also took to Twitter, writing, “This is how I will remember #frankgifford — always making us laugh. But today I am heartbroken — love u klg xoxo ”

Frank Gifford RIP - Sportscaster & NFL Hall of Famer Dies at 84

Sad news – former New York Giants star Frank Gifford died of natural causes on Sunday (August 9) at his home in Connecticut.

He was 84 years old and is survived by his wife, Today host Kathie Lee Gifford, 61.

Frank was an NFL Hall of Famer before becoming a sportscaster for many years.

“It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and friend, Frank Gifford,” the family said in a statement (via NBC). “Frank died suddenly this beautiful Sunday morning of natural causes at his Connecticut home. We rejoice in the extraordinary life he was privileged to live, and we feel grateful and blessed to have been loved by such an amazing human being. We ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time and we thank you for your prayers.”

Sean Price Dead - Rapper Found Dead in His Sleep at 43

Sean Price, a member of the rap group Heltah Skeltah, has died at age 43.

“It is with beyond a heavy heart that Duck Down Music is sadly confirming that Sean Price passed away early this morning in his Brooklyn apartment, Saturday, August 8th, 2015,” his reps told Billboard. “The cause of death is currently unknown, but it was reported that he died in his sleep. He’s survived by his wife, and his three children… Sean’s family and friends are asking for time to grieve and process the news. Further details will be issued when more information is available.”

Sean started his career in the hip-hop duo Heltah Skeltah before transitioning into the group Boot Camp Clik. He released his first solo album in 2005 and was said to be working on new music recently.
