WWE superstar ‘Rowdy‘ Roddy Piper has passed away at the age of 61.
The wrestler suffered a heart attack and died in his sleep on Thursday (July 30) at home in Hollywood, Calif.
The sad news was confirmed by his agent to Variety.
“Rod passed peacefully in his sleep last night. I am shocked and beyond devastated,” his agent said.
One of Roddy‘s closest friends was fellow wrestler Hulk Hogan, who famously battled each other at Wrestlemania I in 1985.
“He was my best friend. He is a legend.God’s gain is our loss. May his family in this time of need, find peace. Much love forever, HH,” Hulk told TMZ.
