Rosario Dawson gets animated on state during a discussion at the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Lecture held at the Zellerbach Theater at Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Monday (January 19) in Philadelphia, Pa.
The 35-year-old actress took to Instagram that day to express her gratitude toward the iconic civil rights leader.
“Thank you #MartinLutherKingJr for standing up for our humanity and showing us what we are capable of when we choose love over hate, peace over violence, interdependence and cooperation over narrow self interests,” Rosario wrote. “Your sacrifices are not in vain! You inspired people to move mountains and the world is a better place for it.”
She added, “I am dedicated to following in your footsteps and continuing where you left off… Who is with me? #forgethepath #BeTheChange #MartinLutherKingJrDay #MLKDay2015 An endless level of gratitude and admiration. Thank you! @amy_sall”
