Prince William Makes Private Donation To Thin Green Line Foundation In Memory Of Six Park Rangers

Prince William has made a donation in honor of six park rangers who tragically lost their lives earlier this year.

According to the Thin Green Line Foundation, the Duke of Cambridge made a private donation to the Fallen Ranger Fund in honor of the rangers who were killed during an ambush in the Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

“We are very grateful to The Duke of Cambridge for his recent support…for the families impacted by the devastating loss of six Rangers at Virunga National Park in January,” the foundation shared on social media over the past weekend.

During the ambush, the six Park Rangers were attacked by armed assailants on the park’s border, and they “were taken by surprise and had no opportunity to defend themselves”. Reports said that local Mai-Mai groups are responsible for the deaths.

The Thin Green Line Foundation was founded to support the families of Rangers who die in the line of duty, and many of them are murdered by commercial poachers.

Earlier this week, William was seen visiting volunteers on the front line of the vaccine rollout in the UK.

During his official visit, William was asked about Philip‘s health after the 99-year-old Duke of Edinburgh was taken to the hospital last week.

“He’s okay,” he reportedly shared, via People. “They’re keeping an eye on him.”

William‘s father, Prince Charles, was seen paying a visit to his father over the weekend.

Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Make Donation to Women's Shelter Affected By Winter Storm Uri

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, through their Archewell Foundation, have made a donation to a women’s shelter who was affected by Winter Storm Uri in Texas.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have donated to Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support, and the money will go towards helping them repair and look after their facilities, and it includes transitional housing, the on-site school, and offices.

“In spite of the devasting winter storms here in Texas, our hearts have been warmed by the support and generosity of people from all 50 states and five foreign countries. Today, we were notified that through the actions of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s nonprofit, Archewell Foundation, Prince Harry and Meghan will make a donation to help us get back on our feet,” Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support shared of the donation.

The statement adds, “Not only will this gift provide for our critical needs, it shines an international spotlight on violence against women and children, letting survivors know that they are not alone.”

Meghan and Harry‘s donation will go towards replacing the roof and other repairs at Annie’s House, their transitional housing facility for women and children. Other resources have also been donated to help with the emergency response.

The couple’s reps have confirmed the donation and added that “their hearts remain with the community, with the families Genesis serves, and with the volunteers and workers on the ground who selflessly provide care and support to those in need.”

“Like so many, the couple is heartbroken to see communities across Texas still struggling to access the very basic resources we all need—water, heat, food, shelter,” their spokesperson adds.

Meghan and Harry, who just recently announced they’re expecting baby number two, have also officially exited the Royal family as working royals.

Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Will Retain Four Personal Patronages Following Official Royal Exit Confirmation

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially leaving their royal roles behind.

Announced earlier today, the Palace revealed that while the couple will still retain their titles, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and be part of the family, they will not return as working royals after a year long “trial” period.

“Following conversations with The Duke, The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of The Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service,” Buckingham Palace shared in a statement.

Meghan and Harry‘s royally appointed patronages will revert back to the Queen, however, there are four combined patronages that they will retain.

Here’s what they are:

  • Smart Works, a charity supporting women preparing for job interviews by offering them practical support including clothes. In a statement, Smart Works said ”We are delighted to confirm that The Duchess of Sussex will remain a Patron of Smart Works. We are thankful for everything she has done in support of our clients and look forward to working together in the future.”
  • The Invictus Foundation, which Harry helped set up. A statement from the Foundation said “we are proud to have The Duke of Sussex as our Patron. The Invictus Games was founded by him, it has been built on his ideas and he remains fully committed to both the Games and to the Invictus Games Foundation.”
  • Mayhew, an animal support charity that Meghan personally reached out to. “We’re pleased to confirm that The Duchess of Sussex will remain our Patron. We want to thank The Duchess for all of her support, and look forward to continuing our work with her helping dogs, cats and communities in need.”
  • WellChild: “We are delighted to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will continue as Patron of WellChild. He has always been a great supporter of ours and has made an important difference to the work we are able to do for families across the UK. We look forward to working with him in the future.”

While not a patronage, Harry will also retain his position in Sentebale as President of African Parks; and he also still holds roles with Wales-Lesotho, the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund and Rhino Conservation Botswana.

Harry and Meghan are currently expecting their second child, and it’s rumored that Baby Sussex #2 is due in this month.

Here's What The British Line of Succession Looks Like After Meghan Markle's Pregnancy Announcement

As the British Royal Family keeps expanding, the line of succession is also changing.

After Meghan Markle announced she and Prince Harry were expecting a second baby, and the birth of Princess Eugenie‘s baby boy, the line has shifted down a few spots for the children and grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth.

There have been some things that have stayed the same, like Prince Charles still first in line to become King of England following his 94-year-old mother in the role.

When he ascends to the throne, it’s assumed that Archie and his unborn sibling, who have no titles at the moment, might receive one. However, that is still yet to be confirmed.

Misan Harriman, The Photographer Who Took Meghan Markle & Prince Harry's Pregnancy Reveal Photo, Speaks Out

The photographer who snapped Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s now iconic pregnancy reveal photograph is opening up in a new interview with British Vogue.

Misan Harriman spoke to the publication about being chosen by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to capture the moment.

“To be asked to help share this absolute joy after such an unimaginable loss and heartache is a marker of true friendship,” Misan shared, revealing that he could also be called a matchmaker. “Meg reminded me that had I not introduced her to a mutual friend then she wouldn’t have met Harry. I’m grateful for whatever small part I played.”

Misan went on, focusing on the photograph he took on an iPad from his home in London, to theirs in Montecito, Calif.

“With the tree of life behind them and the garden representing fertility, life and moving forward, they didn’t need any direction, because they are, and always have been, waltzing through life together as absolute soulmates,” he said.

Meghan and Harry revealed the news on Valentine’s Day, which mirrored his own announcement.

Harry‘s parents, the late Princess Diana and Prince Charles, also revealed they were pregnant with him on Valentine’s Day in 1984.
