Ryan Coogler is expecting his first child with wife Zinzi Evans!

The 32-year-old Black Panther director and co-writer revealed the news at the 2019 Oscars, where Zinzi showed off her growing baby bump while looking stunning on the red carpet.

The couple has been married since 2016 and they’re soon going to be parents for the first time.

Ryan, who also directed the movies Fruitvale Station and Creed, will be directing the sequel to his Oscar-winning superhero movie. The film picked up three awards this weekend.

Rashida Jones flashes a smile on the red carpet as she arrives at the 2019 AAFCA Awards on Wednesday night (February 6) at the Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old Parks & Rec actress and new mom looked cool in a black, velvet suit as she stepped out for the event.

Each year, the African-American Film Critics Association – which is a group of African-American film critics – hands out awards for excellence in film.

Other stars at the event included Lakeith Stanfield, Storm Reid, Ryan Coogler, Barry Jenkins, and Amandla Stanfield.

Chadwick Boseman, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, and Michael B. Jordan appear on stage together at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 6) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The Black Panther stars presented a clip from their movie and they did the Wakanda Forever salute!

Also in attendance at the event was director Ryan Coogler and his wife Zinzi Evans.

Black Panther is nominated for three awards – Best Motion Picture (Drama), Best Original Score, and Best Original Song for “All the Stars.”

The two actors stepped out for the event on Friday afternoon (January 4) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Michael was joined by his Black Panther co-star Ryan Coogler while John was accompanied by his BlacKkKlansman cast mate Adam Driver and director Spike Lee.

Black Panther and BlacKkKlansman were both honored as an AFI Movie of the Year.

Both films are also up for Best Motion Picture in the Drama category at this weekend’s Golden Globes.

John is also up for Best Actor in a Motion Picture while Adam is nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and Spike is up for Best Director.

Danai Gurira and Michael B. Jordan step out to support Ryan Coogler as an honoree at the 2019 Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Variety’s Creative Impact Awards held at the Parker Palm Springs on Friday (January 4) in Palm Springs, Calif.

Ryan, who directed their film Black Panther, was an honoree that day!

“What I do is I just try to stay true to myself,” Ryan recently told Variety about his style. “I’ve always made the films that I really wanted to make, that I was really obsessed with at the time, and I’m just trying to do that same thing now.”

Black Panther is making a big impact during awards season and Disney is hoping the film will get many Oscar nominations. The film has already received three Golden Globe nominations, two SAG Awards nominations, and 11 Critics’ Choice Awards nominations.

The co-stars were joined at the event by director Steven Caple Jr. and the first Creed film’s director Ryan Coogler, who executive produced this film.

The friends and family screening was hosted by producer Irwin Winkler.

Creed II, which also stars Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren, hits theaters on Wednesday. Make sure to see it over Thanksgiving weekend!
