John Legend is sharing a story about a time he was jealous of Ryan Gosling!

The 37-year-old singer and the 36-year-old actor were co-stars in La La Land, and John says watching Ryan learn to play the piano for the role made him a little envious!

“He spent a lot of time working on it, and I was kind of jealous about how fast he learned to be awesome at piano,” John said on Good Morning America. “I’ve been playing since I was four.”

“It’s not fair,” he laughed, adding that Ryan was “magnificent” on the piano and “so focused” throughout the entire filming process.

Meanwhile, John had to learn to play guitar for the movie – he said he learned “just enough” to appear that he could play it “pretty well.”

“I just feel lucky to be in a cast with Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling,” John shared.

Ryan Gosling Responds to 'Hey, Girl' Meme, Compares Himself to Fabio

Ryan Gosling is not that amused by the memes of him that have been spreading around the internet for years, including the infamous “Hey, Girl” one.

“I’ve never said that,” Ryan told Variety in response to the “Hey, Girl” meme which feature a photo of him with the phrase and a random sentiment.

Ryan is comparing being the subject of a viral meme to a situation that Fabio was in.

“Do you remember when Fabio got hit in the face with a pigeon on the roller coaster and it broke his nose?” Ryan asked. “Sometimes I feel like I’m the pigeon and the internet is Fabio’s face… Actually, I don’t know if I’m the pigeon or I’m Fabio’s face. Depends on the day, I guess.”

Emma Stone & Ryan Gosling's 'La La Land' Roles Almost Went to These 2 Stars

Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, the stars of the anticipated upcoming movie La La Land, are featured together on the cover of Variety magazine’s new issue.

Here’s what they had to share with the mag:

Emma, on her worst auditions: “People would look up at me and look back at their paper and not look at me again. I remember feeling very insignificant. I would almost rather you yell at me.”

Ryan, on the film: “The film straddles two lines — sort of a kitchen-sink drama and a romanticized musical,” he says. “I felt like if we could get the relationships and the characters right, we would be OK, because the music was always there and always beautiful.”

Director Damien Chazelle also revealed that Miles Teller and Emma Watson were originally attached to the film! Damien also spoke with Michael B. Jordan about a role.
