Singer Brandy and her fiance Ryan Press have called off their engagement, Us Weekly reports.

“They are no longer together. The engagement is off, but the friendship is still on,” a rep for the singer said in a statement. “They decided to take a step back and reevaluate the relationship, Brandy is 35 now — that’s what her whole #35 on Twitter is about, becoming her own woman.”

“Brandy has a daughter and she still wants to be married and have more kids but she is working on so many other things right now,” the rep added. “They haven’t ended things on a bad note and they still speak all the time.”

Brandy and Ryan, a music executive, became engaged in 2012.

The 33-year-old newly engaged singer was also featured on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest that evening, where she performed her song “Put It Down”. Check out the performance below!

Brandy is reportedly engaged to her music executive beau Ryan Press!

“They are thrilled and happy and Brandy feels this is so right,” a source told Us Weekly.

Marriage has certainly been on Brandy‘s mind this past year.

“I keep hearing about a ring. People keep calling me, hinting to me about it, but I don’t know,” Brandy told Sister2Sister magazine over the summer. “I’m going to be patient and let it happen and just let it be. . . I guess it will happen when it’s the right time.”
