These Celebs Stopped for Ryan Seacrest on Oscars 2018 Red Carpet

The E! Live from the Red Carpet special was a lot less star-studded than usual this year amid the sexual misconduct allegations made against host Ryan Seacrest last week.

The network decided to stand behind the television personality after their investigation led to insufficient evidence to support the allegations.

Ryan didn’t seem to have a prime spot on the carpet as he has in past years and not that many celebs stopped for him. In fact, the interview portion of the special ended at 7pm ET, a full hour before the Oscars began.

There were almost two dozen celebs who decided to give Ryan an interview and there was no mention of the allegations on the air.

Ryan has denied allegations made by a former stylist after an in-depth Variety report surfaced last week. She claims that he sexually assaulted her multiple times while she was employed at the network from 2007 to 2013, including grabbing her crotch.

Ryan‘s 2018 Oscars red carpet interviews will reportedly air on a delay.

Ryan serves as an executive producer on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Ryan Seacrest's Oscars Red Carpet Coverage Will Be Delayed Amid Allegations

Ryan Seacrest‘s coverage of the Oscars for E! News is set to be aired with a delay.

According to THR, the network wants to prevent the airing of any potential backlash against Ryan amid sexual misconduct claims.

The reported 30-second delay of the live broadcast would allow E! to filter any potential awkward moments.

Meanwhile, E! says things will be “business as usual” on the red carpet.

“As always, we tape multiple sources of content simultaneously to deliver the best possible show, and there are often brief delays between interviews,” an E! spokesperson told THR.

Earlier, #MeToo founder Tarana Burke spoke out about Ryan‘s appearance at the Oscars and didn’t agree with E!‘s choice.

#MeToo Founder Tarana Burke Speaks Out About Ryan Seacrest at Oscars 2018

Tarana Burke, who founded the #MeToo movement, is speaking out about E!’s choice to have Ryan Seacrest host the 2018 Oscars red carpet pre-show, despite the sexual misconduct allegations against him.

“I feel like we should be celebrating the fact that people are finally paying attention to what we’ve been talking about for decades,” Tarana told Variety. “They really shouldn’t send him [to the Oscars]. We shouldn’t have to make those choices of, ‘Do we or don’t we?’”

“This is not about his guilt or innocence,” Tarana continued. “It’s about there being an accusation that’s alive, and until they sort of out, it’s really on E! News and shouldn’t be on us. … It will let us know where they stand in terms of how respectful E! News is of this issue – and of women.”

Katy Perry Opens Up About Learning from Failure & Staying Authentic

Katy Perry graces the cover of Parade, out now.

Her American Idol co-stars Ryan Seacrest, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie are also featured in the cover story.

Here’s what the 33-year-old Witness singer had to say…

On what she’s searching for on Idol: “There are a lot of good voices out there. It’s not just about a singing voice. It’s an ‘it’ factor. It’s a combination of things.”

On how failure fuels her: “I’m learning all the time; everything turns into a lesson for me. I’m starting to realize that, after doing this a decade and reaching the highest heights, nobody is going to hit the bull’s-eye every single time.”

On the advice she received from Alanis Morissette: “If you look at your career as a graph chart, don’t get hung up on all the highs and lows. It’s about staying on the graph and making sure every move is authentic.”
