Malin Akerman Talks Getting Engaged to Jack Donnelly & Her Son's Reaction (Video)

Malin Akerman‘s son Sebastian had the most adorable reaction to her engagement to Jack Donnelly!

The 39-year-old Billions actress and the 31-year-old Atlantis actor made the announcement back in October with a sweet Instagram post.

On her recent appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Malin shared, “[Jack] is actually my youngest sister’s boyfriend’s friend from drama school in England, I know, wrap your head around that. I have known him for the past four years but didn’t see him. … Then all of a sudden he came back from England like a year and a half ago, and I went, ‘Wow, have you always been this cute?’”

“He was brilliant with my son and that was it, and my heart melted,” she continued. “You try to explain to a 4 1/2 year old that you’re getting married and what an engagement is, and he jumped up on the couch and went, ‘Yay, we’re getting married!’”

“We showed him pictures of where we were thinking of getting married, and he saw a picture, and there’s a bunch of cupcakes on the dessert table,” Malin added, “and he goes, ‘Oh I cant wait for our wedding, I can eat cupcakes before dinner right?’”

Too cute! Hear what else she had to say below.

Ryan Seacrest's Lawyer Responds After Police Report Filed By His Accuser

Suzie Hardy has revealed that she’s filed a police report against Ryan Seacrest after alleging sexual misconduct when they worked together.

“All I wanted was an apology, some validation and some real action to protect women in the workplace. What I got was NBC promising to do a thorough and confidential investigation of my claims. Sadly, NBC did not interview 10 of the witnesses I provided, including my therapist and my boyfriend at the time. After closing the books on its ‘inconclusive’ investigation, NBC refused to provide me with any of its findings or even the HR reports from my 2012 claims,” Suzie wrote in an essay for THR.

“I recently contacted the LAPD and filed a police report so I’m guaranteed a real investigation this time. Ryan‘s team of lawyers, who are also representing Harvey Weinstein, do not intimidate me. If Ryan is so innocent, why hasn’t he called me a liar or sued me or presented evidence of my so-called extortion plot?” she added.

Ryan‘s lawyers have responded, “After Mr. Seacrest denied each and every one of Ms. Hardy‚Äôs decade old claims, after Mr. Seacrest refused to pay Ms. Hardy any money whatsoever, and after an independent legal investigation did not support her claims, Ms. Hardy went to the press attacking the legitimacy of the investigation. Now, after being refused money and unhappy with the independent legal investigation, Ms. Hardy now claims to have spoken to the authorities. We will continue to cooperate and we remain confident that Mr. Seacrest will once again be cleared of any wrongdoing.”

How Much Are the 'American Idol' Judges & Host Paid in 2018?

The reboot of American Idol premieres tonight (March 11) on ABC and you might be curious to know how much money the new judges are making as their salaries have been a big topic of conversation!

Katy Perry was the first person who signed on for the new season of the hit series and she reportedly is earning a massive $25 million for the cycle.

The huge salary for Katy was a big story as ABC originally had intended to keep the budget for the Idol reboot low, according to some reports.

Ryan Seacrest signed on next to host the season, as he has done for the previous 15 seasons on Fox, and he’s reportedly going to make $12 million.

The budgets were already pretty tapped out at this point and there are reports that the producers wanted to find two more judges at very low salaries. They ended up hiring country singer Luke Bryan and legendary artist Lionel Richie, who are both making around $7 million, according to Page Six.

How Is the 'American Idol' Reboot Different From the Original?

The new American Idol reboot is debuting tonight on ABC – and you may be wondering…how is the reboot different from the original Fox series?

Well, there are a few differences!

For one, all the judges are different from past American Idol seasons. This season, you’ll see Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan judging. Ryan Seacrest is returning as the host, however. In addition, the reboot is of course, on a different network and airing at a different timeslot than normal.

The biggest difference between the reboot and the original is that the reboot will no longer feature bad auditions. Bad auditions were a staple of the original series, where you’d often see contestants who had unpleasant singing voices get unflattering critique from Simon Cowell.
