Kevin Bacon flashes a smile alongside his wife Kyra Sedgwick while attending a special screening of their upcoming film Story Of A Girl held at Neuehouse on Monday (July 17) in New York City.
The 59-year-old actor and the 51-year-old actress, who also directed the flick, was joined at the event by their 28-year-old son Travis Bacon, and co-star Ryann Shane.

Based on Sara Zarr‘s young-adult novel, “Story of a Girl” stars Ryann as Deanna, a 16-year-old girl still dealing with the fallout from a sex video that went viral three years earlier. Branded the school slut and at odds with her disapproving father (Kevin), she longs to move on from her past mistakes but finds it hard to do so in the digital age.
“I had asked Kevin to play Michael years ago because I knew he would be brilliant, but selfishly I also thought he’d help with the financing,” Kyra recently admitted. Kevin adding, “good director-actor relationship is a collaboration and a partnership, and we collaborate really well. And we’ve had a partnership for a long time.”
