John Legend Teases High Notes in 'Jesus Christ Superstar Live' Clip - Watch Here!

John Legend is all smiles as he poses alongside his co-stars Brandon Victor Dixon and Sara Bareilles at the The Paley Center for Media presents: Behind The Scenes with Jesus Christ Superstar Live In Concert held at The Paley Center for Media on Monday (February 26) in New York City.

The three entertainers were also joined at the event by cast mate Alice Cooper, as well as NBC Entertainment Chair Robert Greenblatt, director David Leveaux and executive producer Neil Meron.

Sara Bareilles Returns to Broadway, Breaks Box Office Records

Sara Bareilles is back on Broadway in the musical Waitress and she helped the show break box office records in her first week back!

The Grammy and Tony-nominated singer, who wrote the music for Waitress, is now starring alongside her longtime friend Jason Mraz in the musical.

Waitress grossed $1,608,291.60 in the week ending January 21, 2018. This marks not only the highest grossing week thus far for the hit musical, but also the highest grossing week ever for the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, according to

The previous record was set by Waitress for the week ending January 1, 2017, when the show grossed $1,452,079.60. This was also for a nine-show week whereas the current record was set with just eight shows.

The performance on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 8pm also marked the single highest grossing performance ever with $217,571.00.

Congrats to Sara on the massive success of her show. You can see her in the musical now through February 25.

Sara Bareilles just made her return to Broadway in the musical Waitress alongside her longtime friend Jason Mraz and you can watch a video from their first night on stage together!

During the curtain call, Sara and Jason did a reprise of the act one closer “Bad Idea” and of course the audience loved it.

Sara Bareilles to Star in 'Jesus Christ Superstar Live' as Mary Magdalene

Sara Bareilles has joined the cast of NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in the role of Mary Magdalene!

The Grammy-nominated singer will star opposite John Legend as Jesus and Alice Cooper as King Herod.

The musical will air live on April 1, which is Easter Sunday.

“We’re overjoyed to have Sara Bareilles play Mary Magdalene and I can guarantee that her interpretation of the standard ‘I Don’t Know How to Love Him’ will become an instant classic,” NBC chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement. “I was lucky enough to see Sara in Waitress and she gave as moving and as beautifully sung a performance as I’ve seen on a Broadway stage in a long time.”

Sara Bareilles & Jason Mraz Sing a 'Waitress' Song in the Park (Video)

Sara Bareilles is heading back to Broadway for a six-week run in her musical Waitress and she will be starring alongside her longtime friend and collaborator Jason Mraz!

To celebrate their upcoming Broadway gig, Sara and Jason sang one of the songs from the musical, “It Only Takes a Taste,” in a New York City park.

Sara and Jason previously sang two of their characters’ duets for the 2015 album What’s Inside: Songs from Waitress, but this one was not featured on it. The album was released ahead of Waitress‘ Broadway debut.

Sara will be re-joining the show on January 16 and Jason is currently in the show until January 28. Sara‘s run ends on February 25.
