Watch John Legend & Sara Bareilles Perform 'What's the Buzz' in 'Jesus Christ Superstar Live'

John Legend and Sara Bareilles hit the stage for one of the first songs from Jesus Christ Superstar Live on Sunday night (April 1) at Marcy Avenue Armony in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The stars performed the song “What’s The Buzz,” in which Jesus (Legend) tells his followers not to worry about the future as God will determine what happens to them.

Sara Bareilles will be taking the stage for Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert in just a few hours, and many may be wondering – is the singer single?

Well, she is currently dating actor Joe Tippett and the story of how they met is really sweet! The pair met while working together on her Broadway show Waitress – where she wrote the music and lyrics and he had a role in an out of town try out in Massachusetts in 2015.

Though Joe wasn’t in the original Broadway cast of the musical, he eventually did take over the role of Earl in the show.

In addition, Joe has starred on Broadway in Airline Highway and also portrays Coach Strickland on NBC’s Rise.

'Jesus Christ Superstar' - Full Cast, Performers, & Song List for NBC's Concert Special!

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice‘s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert is set to air tonight!

The cast list is full of celebs, Broadway greats, and more, set to perform the musical live from Brooklyn in just a few hours on Easter Sunday (April 1).

A live audience will get to check out the show, which will be airing on NBC from Williamsburg’s Marcy Armory. The hit show first debuted on Broadway back in 1971, and has been revived on Broadway three times since: in 1977, 2000, and 2012.

Watch Sara Bareilles Sing 'Make Them Hear You' from Broadway's 'Ragtime' at MisCast Gala!

Sara Bareilles is becoming a true Broadway star these days. She recently wrapped her second run in the musical Waitress and she’s attached to star in an upcoming Alice in Wonderland musical.

In the meantime, the Grammy-nominated singer will appear in this weekend’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live and she also participated in the annual MCC Theater MisCast Gala.

Sara joined other Broadway stars in singing songs usually performed by characters that they never would get to play at the event on Sunday (March 25) in New York City.

Sara sang “Make Them Hear You” from the classic musical Ragtime. What you don’t see in the video is how she actually forgot the words twice during the performance!

“The performances were F–KING INSANE. I feel honored to have been a part of it all and I will NEVER NOT USE A TELEPROMPTER AGAIN. #sorry #thirdtimesacharm,” Sara wrote on Instagram about the event.

Watching Jeremy Jordan sing “She Used to Be Mine” from the Broadway show Waitress is basically going to be a religious experience for fans of the song!

The 33-year-old Supergirl actor and Broadway veteran performed the song at MCC Theater’s annual MisCast gala on Sunday night (March 26) in New York City.

Every year, a group of Broadway’s best performers get together to sing songs usually performed by characters that they never would get to play.

Jeremy sang “She Used to Be Mine,” written by Sara Bareilles, while she watched from the side of the stage!
