The 51-year-old former Governor of Alaska appeared on the late night variety show back in 2008 during her vice presidential run.
“It was great, it was like gosh, you have got to have a sense of humor,” Sarah said on the red carpet about her cameo. “It’s not like the persona that maybe is portrayed or characterized for you out there. Taya Kyle gets into a photo with Sarah Palin while attending a charity event thrown in honor of special ops veterans at the Vegas Show Show on Thursday (January 22) in Las Vegas.
If you don’t know yet, Taya is the widow of Chris Kyle, the late Navy SEAL that the movie American Sniper is based on.
“Taya is carrying on her husband Chris’ legacy boldly – spending hours visiting with all the heroes there and sharing Chris’ book, inspiration, and story through American Sniper,” Sarah wrote in a Facebook post. “Like most military families, Taya never stops giving of herself to support others. As more and more are learning about Chris and his amazing American story, we can help continue his legacy by supporting the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation at chriskylefrog.com.”
