'Will & Grace' Final Season to Premiere Early, NBC Moves 'Sunnyside' to Digital Platform

The final season of Will & Grace was originally set to premiere in 2020, but NBC is pushing up the premiere after pulling the new comedy series Sunnyside from the schedule.

Will & Grace will take the place of Sunnyside on NBC’s schedule on Thursday nights at 9:30pm. The first episode of the 11th and final season will premiere on October 24.

Kal Penn‘s Sunnyside will now air weekly on the NBC app, NBC.com, and other digital platforms beginning with episode five. In a vote of confidence for the show, NBC has ordered an additional episode, giving the season 11 episodes instead of 10.

Sean Hayes Spots 'Cher' in the Audience on 'Ellen' - Watch!

Sean Hayes is pointing out a familiar face!

The Will & Grace star stepped in as guest host on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday (October 4).

During his appearance, Sean tried to play it safe after he tore his meniscus performing a dance routine his first time guest hosting the show. And, because Brad Pitt was in the audience last month when Sean was a guest, he searched the crowd to see if there were any stars – and found Cher! Or did he?

Adam Devine later appeared as Sean‘s first guest, who joked about how his mom acts like she’s close, personal friends with Ellen DeGeneres. He also talked about his musical number at the Emmy Awards, and upcoming Netflix series Green Eggs and Ham, which Ellen is executive producing, and admits he’s scared to meet his co-star Michael Douglas. Then, S challenged him to a game of “5 Second Rule.”

Later in the show, Sean met 7-year-old insect expert Garrett Clay from Menifee, Calif. Garrett showed Sean several unique insects and shared some fun facts, and Sean surprised him with bug-themed gifts.

Julianne Hough Joins Shirtless Acrobats for 'Magic Mike' Performance on 'America’s Got Talent' - Watch Here!

America’s Got Talent kicked off the first night of their semifinals on Tuesday (September 3) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood!

Judges Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union, Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel, as well as guest judge Sean Hayes and host Terry Crews, all hit the red carpet ahead of the semi-finals.

Julianne was unexpectedly part of a sexy Magic Mike-inspired performance by the Messoudi Brothers, which featured all three of the shirtless brothers escorting her onto a platform set up in front of the judges’ table to the backdrop of Ginuwine‘s anthem “Pony.”

“The fact that I wore pants is like, ‘Thank you universe! You just knew what was gonna happen!’ Hough told ET. “Although I would have done it even if I was in a dress anyway.”

“That’s why I think I was born to be here, because I love being a part [of it]. There’s something about feeling like you can be an artist and a performer while at the same time you can still help other people achieve their dreams,” Julianne continued. “I said something about Magic Mike last week and they listened. And then they brought me out, and I was okay with that!”

Matt Bomer, Vanessa Bayer & Blythe Danner Set to Return for 'Will & Grace' Final Season!

Will & Grace may be coming to an end again, but there’s still plenty to look forward to!

It has just been confirmed that Matt Bomer, Vanessa Bayer and Blythe Danner are all set to return for the final 2020 season – the third season after the reboot, according to The Wrap.

All three actors have recurring roles, with Matt Bomer coming back as Will’s (Eric McCormack) boyfriend, McCoy Whitman, Vanessa Bayer returning as Amy, a bakery owner from Karen’s (Megan Mullally) past, and Blythe Danner reprising her role as Will’s mother, Marilyn Truman.

Last month, NBC revealed the Will & Grace revival would end with its upcoming third season. The show originally ran from 1998 to 2006, followed by a successful relaunch in 2017.

The final season will be 18-episodes and debuts in 2020, with a premiere date to be announced at a later date.

'Will & Grace' To End After Upcoming 2020 Season

Will & Grace is coming to an end again.

The long-running series, which co-stars Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullaly, will end after its 2020 season – the third season after the reboot.

The show originally ran from 1998 to 2006, followed by a successful relaunch in 2017.

“We think of the Will & Grace reboot episodes the way Karen Walker thinks of martinis – 51 is not enough, 53 is too many. That is why, after consulting with the cast, we all have decided this will be the final season of Will & Grace,” producers said in a statement on Thursday (July 25).

“In 2016, Bob Greenblatt came to us with the idea of doing a 10-episode reboot of Will & Grace. They say you can’t go home again, but we did. And now, three seasons and 52 episodes later, we’re even more proud of something we never thought we’d get a chance to do again. We have had a once-in-a-lifetime experience twice. And for that, we owe a double debt of gratitude to NBC, this show’s supportive and caring home since day one.”

The premiere date for the third and final season of the reboot has not yet been revealed.
