Sean Penn and rumored on-again girlfriend, model Petra Nemcova, attend a red carpet event during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival on Friday (May 18) at Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.

Earlier in the day, the two joined Paul Haggis and Roberta Armani at a photo call for the Haiti: Carnival in Cannes fundraiser.

The event, hosted by Armani, will benefit Sean‘s J/P HRO, Petra‘s Happy Hearts Fund and Paul‘s Artists for Peace and Justice.

During a press conference, Sean had some harsh words for the media, who he accused of abandoning Haiti after the devastating 2010 earthquake.

“It’s not only celebrities who went for a day. It’s the whole f—– world. It’s all of you,” he said. “The reason we have Haiti fatigue is because there was never a commitment in the first place.”

Check out the new trailer for the upcoming movie Gangster Squad!

The flick is directed by Ruben Fleischer and stars Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, and Emma Stone.

The crime-drama is based on the Los Angeles Times‘ seven-part series, “Tales From the Gangster Squad.” The articles, by Paul Lieberman, chronicled the LAPD’s efforts to keep East Coast mobsters out of Los Angeles in the 1940s by forming the Gangster Squad.

Leonardo DiCaprio joins honoree Sean Penn for the Cinema For Peace event benefiting J/P Haitian Relief Organization at the Montage Hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday (January 14).

Leo, 37, and Sean, 51, helped mark the second anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Haiti through the charity dinner.

During tonight’s event, Sean received the Cinema for Peace Honorary Award for his work with the organization.

Both Leo and Sean were joined by Julia Roberts, Mel Gibson, George Clooney, Demi Moore, and Orlando Bloom at the star studded event.

Miley Cyrus urges the public to “Help Haiti Home” in this new campaign aimed at those who were affected by the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Many people in Haiti are stationed in Petionville Camp, a site for thousands of displaced residents.

Miley, Sean Penn, Zooey Deschanel, Edward Norton, Rainn Wilson, LL Cool J, and Soleil Moon Frye teamed up to make this video, benefiting the J/P Haitian Relief Organization, about the concept of home. It costs about $1300 for the residents of Pentionville Camp to make their way from camp back to their homes.

“Dreaming is not so much a right as it is a human need—and without a home, there’s little else to dream about,” Sean says in the video.

“Help us help Haiti Home,” the celebrities urge.

Sean Penn and girlfriend Shannon Costello leave Prime One Twelve after having dinner on Tuesday (September 6) in Miami, Fla.

Last week the 51-year-old actor and Shannon, a TV and film producer, went jogging in Malibu.

Madonna, who was married to Sean from 1985 to 1989, recently shared that he helped her decide to try her hand at directing.

“I am and was attracted to very creative people which is why I married Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie, two very talented directors,” she said during the Venice Film Festival, where she premiered her directorial debut W.E..

“They both encouraged me as a director and as a creative person to do what I did, and they were both very supportive,” she added.

Sean Penn shows off his buff body while going jogging with his new girlfriend Shannon Costello on Sunday (August 28) in Malibu, Calif.

The 51-year-old actor went shirtless and wore a pair of running shorts while his 26-year-old girlfriend opted for sweats.

Last week, Sean and Shannon went public as they went out for dinner together at Nobu.

Shannon is the former communications director for Sean’s J/P Haitian Relief Organization and has worked on the documentary Waiting for Superman and ABC News’ 20/20.

Sean Penn goes public with girlfriend Shannon Costello on Friday (August 19) at Nobu in Malibu, Calif.

The 51-year-old actor and Shannon, 26, met in fall 2009 and first became friends, according to People.

Shannon is also the former communications director for Sean‘s J/P Haitian Relief Organization and has worked on the documentary Waiting for Superman and ABC News’ 20/20.

Sean will next hit the big screen in the drama, This Must Be the Place, while Shannon will be a producer for Ron Howard‘s new film, Under the Banner of Heaven.
