There’s been a rumor floating around for years that Francia Raisa was in some way pressured or forced to donate her kidney to her friend, Selena Gomez.

If you don’t know, Francia donated her kidney to Selena back in 2017. They had been friends for years before the donation happened.

Fast forward to 2022, Selena gave an interview where she called Taylor Swift her only friend in the industry. After that, rumors erupted of a falling out between the pair, especially after Francia seemed to dodge questions about her current relationship with Selena.

The 35-year-old How I Met Your Father actress was close with the 31-year-old Only Murders in the Building star. However, they seemingly had a falling out in late 2022 over a statement Selena made about her industry friends.

Fans started wondering if they’d put that rumored drama in the past when Selena wished Francia a happy birthday on Wednesday (July 26). At first, it seemed like the star subtly addressed where they stood. On Thursday, she offered a more clear status update on their relationship.
