Jennifer Lopez‘s TV show Shades of Blue will be ending after season three.

The last ten episodes of the cop drama will air beginning on June 17 on NBC.

“I have enjoyed producing and starring in this beautifully complicated world and playing such an empowering yet flawed character — a woman, a detective, but, first and foremost, a mother. Now looking at it with a little distance, playing Harlee strengthened me and helped me grow into a more self-assured woman. It’s crazy how some parts permeate your soul and change you forever and for that I am grateful. We crafted a poetic three-season arc on how her journey ends, which is true redemption. The way only Harlee could have done it — the hard way, the road less traveled. I thank NBC and all the talented actors, writers, crew and producers for going on this journey with us!” Jennifer said in a statement (via THR).

The newly 48-year-old entertainer was joined on set by co-star Ray Liotta as they spent the afternoon filming an arrest scene for season 3 of their hit police drama.

Nick Wechsler is heading to another crime drama!

The 38-year-old actor is joining season three of NBC’s police drama Shades of Blue, Deadline reports.

Nick will be playing Detective Cole in a recurring role alongside Jennifer Lopez.

Nick recently wrapped a six-episode stint on Chicago P.D. last season after starring in ABC’s Revenge from 2011 to 2015.

Season three of Shades of Blue is set to return later this year.

Jennifer Lopez‘s hit cop drama Shades of Blue was just renewed for a third season!

The network confirmed the news in a statement, just two weeks into the show’s second season.

“We’re so hugely appreciative of everything Jennifer and Ray do, and know it is due to their dedication, as well as the hard work of our incredible cast and producers, that Shades of Blue has so clearly and compellingly earned a third-season renewal,” NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said.

She added, “This show continues to mine powerful stories that always leave us hungry for more.”

There were guns fired near the set of Jennifer Lopez‘s Shades of Blue on Wednesday evening (October 12) in the Bedford�”Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, a source tells Just Jared.

The 47-year-old actress was not on the set at the time of the gunfire, but other cast and crew were present. Everyone is safe and security was on hand.

According to sources, men were brawling nearby the set location when suddenly six gunshots went off. The men ran and the police were unable to catch the suspects. Later on, two crew members were chased by an unidentified suspect in a situation that was potentially unrelated to the nearby gunfire. That suspect ended up banging on a cast member trailer, trying to get inside.

NYPD quickly stormed the scene after shots were fired in the street where filming was taking place. No additional security was brought in.

The 46-year-old entertainer is currently working on the second season of the show.

Jennifer recently spoke to Fox 5 New York about homeschooling her two children, eight-year-old twins Max and Emme.

“We don’t have a normal life, I don’t have normal kids,” Jennifer said. “I’m not normal. So our life is not normal. I’ve come to terms with that.”

“Everybody’s like, ‘You should have them in school, they need friends.’ It drives me – it can drive you crazy.” Jennifer added (via People). “They are super happy, well-adjusted, loving, caring kids, and that’s the most important thing. We’ll get them educated – homeschool is great for them, when we have to do it. The most important thing is that they’re with their mom – that they don’t feel abandoned by a parent.”
