The ladies were joined at the event by fellow film legends Sally Field, Shirley MacLaine, Kevin Spacey, Kathy Bates, Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Sidney Pottier, Harrison Ford, and Peter Fonda.

Check out this new promo for the upcoming third season of Downton Abbey featuring a face-off between Maggie Smith and new star Shirley MacLaine.

The legendary ladies will be back on the small screen this January when the third season premieres on PBS. Those in the UK will get to see the season first when it premieres on ITV1 this fall.

Elizabeth McGovern, Michelle Dockery, Brendon Coyle, Hugh Bonneville, Joann Froggatt, series creator Julian Fellowes, and season three guest star Shirley MacLaine made an appearance at the PBS portion of the 2012 Summer TCA Tour held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday (July 21) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The cast chatted about the upcoming season and also celebrated the 16 Emmy nominations they received earlier in the week.

Katherine Heigl shows off legs for days as she arrives at the 2012 AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony honoring Shirley MacLaine held at Sony Pictures Studios on Thursday (June 7) in Culver City, Calif.

Ms. MacLaine was joined at the ceremony by her Postcards from the Edge co-star Meryl Streep, in a Valentino skirt and blouse, and her Downton Abbey co-star Elizabeth McGovern.

The AFI Life Achievement Award tribute to Shirley MacLaine will premiere on TV Land on Saturday, June 24 at 9/8c.

Synopsis: In the tiny, rural town of Carthage, Texas, assistant funeral director Bernie Tiede (Black) was one of the town’s most beloved residents. He taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Everyone loved and appreciated Bernie, so it came as no surprise when he befriended Marjorie Nugent (MacLaine), an affluent widow who was as well known for her sour attitude as her fortune. Bernie frequently traveled with Marjorie and even managed her banking affairs. Marjorie quickly became fully dependant on Bernie and his generosity and Bernie struggled to meet her increasing demands. Bernie continued to handle her affairs, and the townspeople went months without seeing Marjorie. The people of Carthage were shocked when it was reported that Marjorie Nugent had been dead for some time, and Bernie Tiede was being charged with the murder.

Matthew McConaughey plays the town’s blustery real-life District Attorney, Danny Buck Davidson, who was determined to get to the bottom of the crime.

Bernie will be playing at the SXSW Film Festival March 14 before it’s released April 27!
