The 2017 Grammys are bringing everyone together!

A whole bunch of fierce ladies – Solange, Janelle Monae, Serayah, Keyshia Cole, Mya, Kiersey Clemons, Sierra McClain, Melanie Fiona, Kandi Burruss, Faith Evans, LeToya Luckett, Macy Gray, Remy Ma, Lil Mama and Estelle – stepped out to celebrate the best of the best at Essence’s 2017 Black Women in Music Celebration held at NeueHouse Hollywood on Thursday (February 9) in Los Angeles.

Solange hit the stage to introduce honoree Erykah Badu at the event, which this year commemorates the 20th anniversary of her debut album, Baduizm.

“She is mother, she is sister, she is friend, she is auntie, she is chief, she is warrior of many tribes,” Solange expressed during her speech. “Empress of the mystic women, ruler of the free.. And she has been that for 20 years. She is a beautiful reminder that you cannot put us in the box.”

Zendaya takes a silly selfie with Black-ish star Yara Shahidi while attending Just Jared Jr.’s Fall Fun Day held at a private residence on Saturday afternoon (October 24) in Los Angeles.

The event was held to celebrate the season 2 premiere of Amazon Prime’s Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street. To tie in to the show’s themes of friendship, we invited lots of inner city kids, local youths, and foster families to the event to make new friendships and enjoy a fun-filled day with activities such as a petting zoo, arts and crafts, a balloon artist, and yummy food.

“Had a dope time with the youngins at the @justjared @justjaredjr #FallFunDay the kids were too cute😍😊,” Zendaya wrote on Instagram along with the below photo of herself and some of the kids.

Zendaya was joined at the event by her former Shake It Up co-stars Adam Irigoyen and Kenton Duty, as well as the McClain sisters – China Anne, Lauryn, and Sierra.

Fellow singers Jake Miller and Jasmine V were also in attendance at the event. Other stars to step out at the party included the McClain sisters – China Anne, Lauryn, and Sierra – and model Tanner Zagarino.
