Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas, and James Franco all walk the red carpet at the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Celebration held at Rockefeller Plaza on Sunday (February 15) in New York City.

Also in attendance at the star-studded event were Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, Sean Hayes, Glenn Close with a skull, Sarah Silverman, Billy Crystal, Steven Spielberg with wife Kate Capshaw, and George Lucas with wife Mellody Hobson.

Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin (announced as Mr. and Mrs. Alec Baldwin) present a touching tribute to their friend and former cast mate Tracy Morgan during the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Celebration held at Rockefeller Plaza on Sunday (February 15) in New York City.

Tracy, 46, was terribly injured in a car accident last year and was not able to make it to the live show. Tina and Alec worked with Tracy on 30 Rock.

The tribute included a clip from his famous sketch Brian Fellow’s Safari Planet and gave a nod to his work on the show, which spanned from 1996 to 2003.

Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey bring back their ultra-famous characters Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar from Wayne’s World during the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Celebration held at Rockefeller Plaza on Sunday (February 15) in New York City.

The duo did one of their famous top ten lists which, at one point, poked fun at Kanye West and his on-stage storming antics.

They also said some of their favorite catch phrases such as “we’re not worthy!” and “schwing!”

Sarah Palin hit the red carpet at SNL 40 on Sunday evening (February 16) in New York City and everyone was chatting about her short sparkly dress. Turns out, the dress belongs to her daughter Bristol!

The 24-year-old daughter of the ninth Governor of Alaska wore the white dress to the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. Looks like Governor Palin raided her daughter’s closet for the big night out in the city!

Taylor Swift and Sarah Palin might have been the most unusual seating pair at the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Celebration held at Rockefeller Plaza on Sunday (February 15) in New York City.

The 25-year-old singer was spotted on camera sitting in between the former Governor of Alaska and director Steven Spielberg during the show.

During the anniversary special, Taylor performed in a new Californians skit while Sarah made a brief appearance in Jerry Seinfeld‘s bit, in which she was confused for Tina Fey.

Dakota Johnson announced some very big news during the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special on Sunday night (February 15) — she is going to host the next new episode!

The 25-year-old actress currently has the biggest movie in the country with Fifty Shades of Grey and she will get to show off her comedic chops during the February 28 episode.

If you didn’t know, Dakota is no stranger to the comedy world. She starred on the Fox sitcom Ben and Kate and also had roles in the films The Five-Year Engagement and 21 Jump Street.

Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg teamed up for a digital short at the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Celebration held at Rockefeller Plaza on Sunday (February 15) in New York City.

The duo sang about how breaking on SNL is very common – and called out some former cast members for laughing during their scenes. Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sans were two guys in particular who were called out quite a bit for the on-screen antics.
