The finale of So You Think You Can Dance aired Thursday night (August 11) and a new winner was crowned America’s favorite dancer!
Finalists Marko Germar, Melanie Moore, Tadd Gadduang, and Sasha Mallory danced their hearts out as the FOX show’s eighth season came to a close.
On Wednesday, Katie Holmes served as a guest judge and shared her thoughts on the top four competitors’ performances!

The 32-year-old actress, wearing a Lacoste + Malandrino Pointelle Polo dress, served as a guest judge for the top 4 performances along with Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy.
Before the show went on the air, Katie ran into the audience to give her 5-year-old daughter Suri, who held a sign that read, “We Love You Katie, a hug!
People also reports Suri munched on a gigantic cookie and danced in her seat to the music, while older brother Connor Cruise sat with friends in a nearby row.
The winner of this season’s SYTYCD will be announced TONIGHT at 8 p.m. on Fox!

The top ten dancers from Season 8 of So You Think You Can Dance are going on a nationwide tour and JustJared.com is giving away free tickets!

Ellen DeGeneres will recreate injured contestant Alex Wong‘s hip-hop routine with tWitch Boss on tonight’s episode of So You Think You Can Dance, FOX confirms to JustJared.com.
There will also be performances by indie rock duo Black Gold; dance sensations Quest Crew; Charlie Bruce, the winner of the U.K. version of So You Think You Can Dance; and tap-dancing siblings the Manzari Brothers. Tune in tonight (August 12) @ 8-10PM ET/PT on FOX!

So You Think You Can Dance will return for its seventh season @ 8PM ET/PT on Thursday (May 27) on FOX.
Here are some of the new rules for the upcoming season:
– During the performance rounds, only ONE finalist will go home weekly.
– The competitors will be partnered each week with an all-star dancer — different SYTYCD alumni!
Explains Nigel, “They are changing partners every week. We are going to put together a pool of ex-So You Think You Can Dance all-stars, some of our favorite dancers form across all six seasons and they will act as a pool of dancers.”

The top girls include Channing Cooke, Ariana Debose, Ashleigh Di Lello, Mollee Gray, Karen Hauer, Noelle Marsh, Pauline Mata, Kathryn McCormick, Bianca Revels and Ellenore Scott; and the top guys are Phillip Attmore, Billy Bell, Ryan Di Lello, Russell Ferguson, Kevin Hunte, Jakob Karr, Legacy Perez, Peter Sabasino, Victor Smalley and Nathan Trasoras.
