Sofia is currently in the midst of filming her latest flick Fading Gigolo in the Big Apple, which also stars Liev Schreiber, Sharon Stone, and Woody Allen. The comedy is set to be released sometime next year.

Sofia Vergara is all smiles as she makes her way onto the chilly set of Fading Gigolo on Thursday (November 29) in New York City.

The 40-year-old actress seemed to be in good spirits despite the cold. “With my director ready to film!” she tweeted earlier in the day, along with a photo of her and director John Turturro.

Sofia Vergara steps out of her SUV as she arrives at the UCLA Medical Center on Wednesday (November 7) in Westwood, Calif.

The 40-year-old actress was joined by her fiance Nick Loeb.

Elizabeth Pena is set to play Sofia‘s character Gloria’s mother, Pilar, on the hit show Modern Family, EW reports.

Stephanie Beatriz is also set to make an appearance as Gloria’s sister, Sonia.

“There’s a bit of a competitive relationship between Gloria and her sister that will be fun,” executive producer Christopher Lloyd said of the sibling rivalry in the upcoming episode.

“The mother is the formidable, domineering character in the family, and has a complicated relationship with Jay (Ed O’Neill),” he added. “I’m not sure she’s ever completely accepted Jay, and they lock horns in the episode.”

Catch Elizabeth and Stephanie in episode twelve, title “Fulgencio,” airing on ABC later this year.
