South Korean star Song Yoo-jung has sadly died at the young age of 26.
The model and actress’ management company Sublime Artist Agency confirmed to Newsweek that she passed away on Saturday (January 23) and she was laid to rest today.
The statement said that Song “departed this life on January 23, 2021. In accordance with the wishes of her family, the funeral was held quietly and the funeral procession takes place on January 25.”
An Instagram post from the agency added, “Yoo-jung was a friend who always gave us happiness with a bright smile, and an awesome actress who acted with a passion bigger than anyone.”
A cause of death was not provided, though many articles are pointing out how several young South Korean stars have taken their own lives in recent years.
