Is There a 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' End Credits Scene?

If you’re planning to see Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse this weekend, definitely stick around: there’s even more once the movie ends!

Throughout the film, viewers are introduced to many different characters from the Spider-Verse.

After the credits roll, another character is introduced: Spider-Man 2099. However this time, he’s transported into a Spider-Man meme: Spider-man pointing at Spider-man. (See it here if you’re not already familiar!)

The clip is old-school style, just like the original cartoon – except it’s Spider-Man 2099 pointing at regular Spider-Man in a hilarious scene.

You’ll also be able to spot other Spider-Man memes, mostly taken from the ’60s Spider-Man series, like Spider-Man behind a desk.

Plus, keep an eye out during the film: the late Stan Lee makes a cameo as a shop owner who sells Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) a Spider-Man costume.

The scene takes on a whole emotional new meaning when one of his lines is “I’m going to miss him…”

Mid-credits, there’s also text paying homage to Stan and Steve Ditko, the creators of Spider-Man, along with one of Stan‘s quotes, and a comic book-style drawing of his signature glasses: “That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt, a real superhero,” it reads.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is out in theaters on December 14!

Sony Is Developing 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' Sequel & Spinoffs!

Sony Pictures is growing the Spider-Man franchise!

The company will be developing both a sequel and spinoffs to the upcoming animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the studio announced on Tuesday (November 27).

Into the Spider-Verse doesn’t hit theaters until December 14, although the new projects are already moving forward!

The Spider-Verse sequel will continue Miles Morales’ story, while spinoffs are also in the works, including a Spider-Women film that will focus on three generations of women with Spidey powers. One of these characters could be Spider-Gwen from the Spider-Verse.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse follows 13-year-old Brooklynite Miles Morales becoming one of many Spider-Men. The character was introduced in 2011 in Chapter 4 of the Ultimate Fallout Marvel comic book series, which dealt with the aftermath of Peter Parker’s death.
