Nicole Kidman Reveals Why Winning Two Emmys Was More Meaningful Than Winning Her Oscar

Nicole Kidman made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday (November 1) and revealed the sweet reason why winning two Emmys for Big Little Lies was more meaningful than winning her Oscar for her role in The Hours.

“I was so glad to win the two Emmys, because I have [two] daughters,” the 50-year-old actress told host Stephen. “It was amazing to take home two and go, ‘You get one each.’”

“When I won my Oscar, I was not in a great place in my life. I didn’t have a partner to share it with,” added Nicole, who at the time had recently broken up with Tom Cruise. “I was flailing, emotionally and personally. So, to win and Emmy and be in love and have my family… It’s amazing.”

“I was alone. I sort of ordered some room service, and that was it — which I know is like, ‘Oh,’” Nicole continued about her Oscar. “There’s something incredible about going home and going, ‘Baby! We did it!’ And that’s what we did.”

Mark Ruffalo Explains on 'The Late Show' How He Accidently Live-Streamed An Early 'Thor' Screening!

Mark Ruffalo made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday evening (October 31) and finally explained how he accidentally live streamed audio from his latest film Thor: Ragnarok on his Instagram feed during an early screening.

The 49-year-old actor recalled how Marvel and Disney asked him to do an Instagram Live post, but he quickly ran into problems. “I said I would do that, but I had never done Instagram Live so I didn’t really know how it worked, like grandpa,” Mark admitted. “I went to bed a leading man and somehow woke up a grandpa.”

“I ended up shoving it in my pocket, sitting down and watching the movie. Well, it was broadcasting the movie, basically free, to millions and millions of hopefully paying viewers,” Mark added. “My phone was blowing up, people were texting me, I must have got 50 texts in 10 minutes. I didn’t want to be rude and take out my phone and look at the texts. You can’t do that in a movie, you’re an a-hole if you do that. No good deed goes unpunished.”

“So I’m sitting there, enjoying the movie with my family, and a woman came up, poked me on the shoulder and she said, ‘Your phone is on, you’re Instagramming Live this whole show for 10 minutes, turn it off!’,” Mark continued – Watch the full interview below!

Billy Eichner Plays 'Hocus Pocus' or Trump's White House with Stephen Colbert - Watch Here!

Billy Eichner stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Monday (October 30) and celebrated Halloween by arriving dressed as a giant banana and challenging Stephen to take a Billy On the Street-style game, called “Hocus Pocus or Trump‘s White House.”

The game (which begins at the 7:15 mark), found the 39-year-old American Horror Story star quizzing Stephen on facts that could refer to either the classic 1993 Halloween film, President Trump‘s current administration or both.

“This is a game I wrote specifically for tonight because Halloween is tomorrow,” Billy explained. “I would say one of maybe not my favorite movies but a guilty pleasure is the movie Hocus Pocus. And Hocus Pocus is like a Halloween classic. And so I wrote a game just for you called ‘Hocus Pocus or Trump’s White House?’ I’m going to give you a fact and you have to tell me if this fact refers to the movie Hocus Pocus or Trump’s White House or both.”

Billy then proceeded with statements such as, “Ben Carson believes that it’s real,” “has inspired Bette Midler to do a lot of screaming and complaining,” and, “seems like it started almost as a joke but now for some reason we have to take it seriously.”

Kerry Washington Talks Being Substitute Teacher After Starring in Big Break 'Save The Last Dance' - Watch Here!

Kerry Washington is picture perfect in a floral dress while making her way inside Good Morning America on Thursday morning (October 4) in New York City.

The 40-year-old actress promoted the series finale of Scandal before switching into a different outfit to make her way out of the studios.

The evening before, Kerry made an appearance on The Late Show and opened up to host Stephen Colbert about the jobs she held before making it big.

“I worked in a restaurant and I taught yoga and I also was a substitute teacher for New York City public schools,” Kerry recalled. “It was a perfect job for an actor because you get a call in the morning saying, ‘We need a teacher,’ and if I had an audition, I wouldn’t go, but if I didn’t have an audition — which was most days — I would go and work in a school.”

“I got a job in a movie called Save the Last Dance, and it was my first big film,” Kerry continued. “It did not pay me a lot of money, so after the movie came out, I went back to substitute teaching for a while. And then I had to make a rule that I wouldn’t work in high schools. I could only do elementary schools because kids were cutting class to see Chenille teach French. So it was bad. I would go into a school and I would see all these kids outside the window trying to see that girl from Save the Last Dance.”

Chance the Rapper Debuts New Unreleased Song on 'The Late Show' - Watch Here!

Chance the Rapper made his return to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday evening (September 25) and took the opportunity to debut a brand new song.

The 24-year-old Grammy-winning entertainer rapped three verses about fatherhood, life’s changes, and first world problems while accompanied by Daniel Caesar, a choir, and additional musicians, including longtime collaborator Nico “Donnie Trumpet” Segal.

Chance revealed to Stephen that he had written the song two days before the performance.

“I was gonna do ‘Grown Ass Kid,’ an unreleased song from Coloring Book, and then I called you guys on Saturday and said, I can’t do ‘Grown Ass Kid’ anymore for reasons I don’t want to talk about. We had to come up with a song in a matter of days and I wanted to do something fresh,” Chance said.

“I’ve been in the studio a lot lately; I’ve been cooking up some yammers like this,” Chance added. “They’re honestly great. I premiered ‘Angels,’ the first new song off Coloring Book, here, so I was like, why not do another new song for you guys here tonight?”
