Ricky Gervais: 'Office' Cameo On The Way!

Ricky Gervais will make a cameo on next week’s episode of The Office, airing January 27!

The British funnyman, who portrayed David Brent in the UK version of the show, shot his spot back in September.

“It’s outside of the office, and it’s just the two of them interacting,” Paul Lieberstein, who plays Toby on the show, told Access Hollywood. “It’s just a little nod to Steve and his final year.”

“It’s a little more than if you blink, you’ll miss it, but if you don’t set your TiVo right, you’ll miss it,” Paul added.

Here’s a sneak peek of Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling in their upcoming comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love.

The movie centers around Cal Weaver (Carell) who appears to have everything – a good job, nice house, great kids, and a marriage to his high school sweetheart Emily (Julianne Moore). But when he discovers she cheated on him and wants a divorce, he finds himself spending his free time sulking at a bar. He’s then taken on as wingman and protege to player Jacob Palmer (Ryan Gosling) who shows him the many options of single life.

The film, expected to be released next summer, also stars Emma Stone and Marisa Tomei!

The Office, NBC Shows Announce Premiere Dates

NBC has just announced its fall premiere dates for their new and returning series. Check them out below, be sure to mark your calendars and set your TiVos!

Most importantly, two of NBC’s funniest shows — 30 Rock and The Office — will premiere on Thursday (September 23) starting at 8:30PM ET/PT.

Despicable Me: Big Weekend Box Office!

Despicable Me opened to a huge $60.1 million over the weekend, easily surpassing the second weekend of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which trailed at $33.4 million.

Voice talent in the animated 3-D flick included The Office‘s Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Julie Andrews, Will Arnett, Kristen Wiig and iCarly‘s Miranda Cosgrove.

Predators, a reboot of the ‘80s sci-fi horror film, scared up $25.3 million. Better than expected! It was directed by Nimrod Antal, produced by fan-boy fave Robert Rodriguez (Sin City) and stars Adrien Brody.

Mindy Kaling thinks Dwight Schrute could handle being regional manager of Dunder Mifflin!

The 31-year-old actress and writer, who plays Kelly Kapoor on The Office, told EW‘s Michael Ausiello that she’d “love to see Rainn Wilson [as boss].”

“Dwight has become so nuanced — you actually care about him now,” Mindy said. “I think if [we did a good job laying the groundwork] this coming season he would be a fantastic boss.”

“But that’s my dream,” Mindy added. “It certainly hasn’t been approved by people that are more powerful than me and who make those kind of decisions.”

Steve Carell, who plays Michael Scott, has said that he is ready to leave The Office after next season is complete.

Steve Carell Confirms 'Office' Exit After Seventh Season

Steve Carell has confirmed that he’ll will be leaving The Office after next year.

The 47-year-old actor caught up with EW at the premiere of his new animated film, Despicable Me, over the weekend and said he’s ready to wrap things up in Scranton. “I want to fulfill my contract,” he shared. “I think it’s a good time to move on.”

Steve added, “I just want to spend more time with my family.”

The Office will begin its seventh season this fall.

'Little Miss Sunshine' Musical Coming in 2011

Little Miss Sunshine will hit the stage as a musical next February!

The dark comedy and 2006 Sundance favorite will be adapted by William Finn and three-time Tony Award winner James Lapine at the La Jolla Playhouse starting next year (via EW).

Abigail Breslin earned an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Olive Hoover, a beauty queen wannabe with a big heart and a very dysfunctional family.
