Michael Fassbender in 'Steve Jobs' - First Look Photo & Trailer!

Michael Fassbender makes his way through the airport after touching down for the 2015 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 17) in Nice, France.

The 38-year-old actor is attending the festival for his movie Macbeth, but it’s another one of his films that’s making some buzz right now!

The first official teaser trailer and photo for the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic were just released. Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.

Kate Winslet stars in the film as Joanna Hoffman, former marketing chief of Macintosh. Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple, is played by Seth Rogen, and Jeff Daniels stars as former Apple CEO John Sculley.

Michael Fassbender Will Play Steve Jobs in New Biopic

Michael Fassbender will officially be playing the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in a new film based on the life of the technology pioneer.

Also featured in the cast will be “Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, Kate Winslet as former Macintosh marketing boss Joanna Hoffman, Jeff Daniels as former Apple CEO John Sculley, Katherine Waterston as Jobs’ ex-girlfriend Chrisann Brennan and Michael Stuhlbarg as one of the Mac’s original developers Andy Hertzfeld,” according to Deadline.

The movie is based on the Walter Isaacson best-selling biography and will be directed by Danny Boyle with a script by Aaron Sorkin.

Christian Bale had originally been attached to the role, but the deal fell through. Shooting has already begun on the movie in San Francisco and sightings of period cars from the early 1980s have been spotted in the Berkeley area.

The 37-year-old actor is in contention after Christian Bale dropped out of the movie after rumors spread that he thought he was not right for the part.

Seth Rogen is also reportedly in discussions to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in the Danny Boyle-directed film. Aaron Sorkin will pen the script.

Christian Bale Eyed for Steve Jobs Biopic After Leonardo DiCaprio Drops Out

Christian Bale is in talks to star as Steve Jobs in the upcoming Untitled Steve Jobs Biopic, tentatively called Jobs!

The 40-year-old actor is the new male actor being considered for the role after Leonardo DiCaprio turned it down to take some time off from acting, Variety reports.

Danny Boyle is set to direct the film, which is being written by Aaron Sorkin. Aaron is basing the screenplay off of Walter Isaacson‘s biography “Steve Jobs.”

This is not the first Steve Jobs biopic to hit theaters. Ashton Kutcher starred as the Apple mogul back in the 2013 film.
