The 48-year-old actor was accompanied by his wife Sunrise Coigney, who came out to show her support at the ceremony.
Mark along with his Spotlight director Tom McCarthy and screenwriter Josh Singer took part in a protest outside the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles. They stood with members of SNAP, the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests, outside the cathedral calling for the names of pedophile priests to be released, according to THR.
Mark is nominated for Best Supporting Actor this evening for his work in the movie Spotlight. He is up against The Big Short‘s Christian Bale, The Revenant‘s Tom Hardy, Creed‘s Sylvester Stallone, and Bridge of Spies‘ Mark Rylance. Tune in to see if he wins!
